LOL, morning y'all.

I'm heading up near Canada again today.
Going to do some BWCA campin tonight through monday.

Only thing is, the lake was still frozen as of yesterday...
Hoping it will have some open water so we can get through tonight.

These fishing opener trips are never boring!

+1,,, although I have my jolly days now and again,,, :D

Quick update on my dad: they found out what caused the (minor) stroke,,, one of his jugulars has a narrowing which flakes on the inside of his vein,,, one of these flakes has probably travelled up into his brain and caused a very temporary blockage which caused the stroke,,, I was lucky enough to witness it and give him the aspirine or he might never had been aware of this problem 'till it might have been too late causing a major stroke with all the consequences,,, first aid courses rock !!! :thumbup:

They will treat it with medicine and evaluate,,, if medicine doesn't do the trick, he'll be needing surgery,,,

He'll also be getting a blood transfusion because he's a bit anemic,,, he should be coming home on Friday,,, *fingers crossed*

I'm not happy he has the health problem, but I'm glad they were able to determine the cause and it can be treated accordingly,,,

Sorry to bother you mangs with this, but I kinda view you like my friends and wanted you to know,,, thanks for all the smoke and prayers, it means a lot :)

Fingers still crossed, Chibbi! + Thanks for the update. I wish your dad fast recovery!

For not being left too far behind, I went to the hospital today, too. On Easter, three ticks bit me. Two bites healed without problems, and the third one began to itch and look really nasty this weekend. I'll have the test results in a week, the doc said today she'll probably give me some ATB thereafter.
Tomorrow I'm leaving even more blood samples in the hospital to have it thoroughly tested because of my long-lost-and-found-again-now allergy. The doctor is both an immunologist and allergologist and wants all the tests she can have with me. I'm curious what she finds out. I'll have to wait 5 weeks for the results, but she prescribed me some meds straight away today. So I can still function.
 
Never feel like you need to apologize for anything like that Chibbi. This is the club and we are a support group. Even if it is just words and imaginary smokes, we give a damn and will continue to do so. If a fund needed to be started tomorrow for some reason we would all pitch in I am sure of that. Take care man and good news on your Dad.

ps: thankfully a fund raising won't be needed,,, we've got pretty good health care overhere,,, one of the few benefits,,,
 
I just quickly scanned some of those fixed blades Jerm is taking to Blade,,, if those are rush-jobs, I'd like to see what he can accomplish when he takes his time,,, great blades mango :thumbup:

At the risk of sounding sentimental, I really think of you guys and wish you and yours all the best. Some truly fine company I've met here, although just virtually.

Well Mangs I gotta leave at 0430 for the 2 hour drive to the hospital in Marquette. They are doing my spinal surgery at 0800. I am hoping to be out by my birthday on Saturday. Thanks again for all the smoke. This spinal injury has been very trying on me. I will post you guy's when I am able to get up on the computer again.
