Nick, it is ground so you could with a nice v edge. If you wanted, 5 minutes with a file and a leather strop and you would be good to go. For me, one of the things I like about the design is that you can choke up and use it like a ulu, so I'm going to leave it as it is. I've grown fond of having ten fingers.
