I need to call my store and see when their fire sale is going down. Last year I got a nearly $400 tent for $30. Insane.

This tent was marked $60. I picked it up just as the intercom clicked on and a store employee announced that the bent and dent sale was going to a 50% off fire sale. I clutched the tent a little tighter. Upon inspection, it looked unused. Someone returned it saying that the floor leaked, but I cannot even tell the tent was pitched. A $6 tube of seam seal will correct any leaks if they appear.

Lotta stuff at the sale,but nothing I really needed.
There was a pair of hiking boots,but were
half a size too small.

Lotta jackets,but Im full up on those.

Guyon: that tent you got looks very similar

Its 6ft tall in the center! Monster tent but great for
car camping.I think its 8' square as well.
My son and I use that one alot.

Forget chopping the frame. Fabricate a box to hold Hortons, guns, your bow, and gear in that spot. That project is moving quickly. Nice work man.:thumbup:

Dang Beav - THat's one heck of a project, however I fully expected to see a pic of YOU hoisting that bed over your head - not sure why you needed 4, unless the turkey had you weighed down ;)

I'm mechanically inclined, fortunately I NOW have a choice to fug with it when I want to, but I can and do appreciate what you be doing mang. Good Luck Bro - Hope Murphy stays outta your way :thumbup:
 
I've never been to one of the rei garage sales. Do they ever have boats there?

Saw someone carrying a Sea Kayak around at the sale.
Basically,things that get returned but are deemed to still
be "fine" are resold at the garage sale.Anything REI
sells I guess might show up there.
I would think now is the time to get a great deal
on a canoe,seasons end.

The people were really nuts,pushing,shoving,
rude,just obnoxious. I hope I didnt hurt anyone.
Seriously,it was a madhouse,people grabbing everything,
then after 10 minutes you would see them putting stuff
down after realizing they didnt even know what the hell they grabbed.
I wont go back to another one,at least not at this store.
 
On my way to see Lt. Col. Dave Grossman speak. If you've never read any of his books, you should...
