However, today is rather nippy at -10°C (sorry, I don't do °F),,, more snow and for the weekend they're predicting it'll go over into rain,,, now that might get interesting

Haha, I know that, too - rain during the day, and then it all freezes overnight. In the morning, you just take a stick, beat all over your car to crack the ice so you can get in, start the engine and slide to work

I don't know of any specifically but for electronics I usually compare Amazon.com and newegg.com. One of those is usually the lowest on the interwebs.
