Coffee

I've never been terribly fond of using Kona for espresso. Usually too mild. Haven't tried it in awhile though.

I got it dark roasted.
The first one might have been a bit too strong believe it or not.
I made adjustments and it's nearing perfection.
Personally I find that my espresso machine brings out the best in whatever medium to dark coffee I use, just a matter of getting the levels right.

I'm always amazed when you find someone that absolutely loves coffee but has never been exposed to anything other than what's on their grocery store shelf! Good job Spyderphreak now he's ruined for life!

I took a pound of a Kenya I roasted out to Eastern CO when I went Pheasant hunting this past weekend. Gifted it to the family who we're friends with, and whose land we hunt on a lot. At breakfast on Sunday morning at their farm, the farmer says, "This is amazing coffee!!! I may never be able to drink Folger's again!" :D

I'll have to send them some more for Christmas.

It's the same as knives...... it all starts with the first one. "Hey, can I try that?". I try to warn them before they sip...........

:D

I haven't personally had a Kona that held up too well to darker roasts (but I haven't had a ton of 'em either). My experience has been that anything past Full City and you lose the nuances that give Kona its character. Why pay the extra if it's going to do that? I'm impressed if you've found one that does!

lol, yeah. :D I joked that now I'm going to have to start sending them a pound a month to cover them letting us hunt on their land. But I'll actually probably start doing just that. :)

So true!!! I've lost count how many people I've "converted" in the past 13 years since I started roasting. :D Even got a few roasting coffee themselves too!

I'm still on cod ghosts, loving the ps4 though!

I just wish the PS4 had all the functionality that the PS3 had. (Unless it does now and I missed it somehow?) We use our PS3 for Netflix (a LOT!), a Blu-Ray Player, a digital jukebox, and of course, for games too. I can't "upgrade" to a PS4 unless it at least does all of that.

Ohhh yeah.

Wasn't intended to knock your Kona espresso, sorry if I came across like that. :o I was just trying to say I've not personally experienced one worth using for espresso.

I don't know Wayne...that might require a wing man to help "process" that bottle. Mmmmmmmm...apple pie. I need to use your Sharpmaker anyway.

SPhreak-- How do you have enough time in a day to do all the things you do?? :D

Monday will be a good day..I already have notifications of 4 packages arriving and all are knife related! YAY!

Per request by Mike45ACP. Busse Combat Grade Fusion Battle Mistress in "Aged Bronze" Cerakote*. :D

Coffee is a Guatemala Antigua Pulcal Inteligente from Sweet Maria's, roasted to Full City. Very good through the espresso machine!

*Full disclosure: This particular Busse is my brother's. It's in-house right now for me to apply a mirror-polished, razor edge. ;)

I'm currently unemployed. :( And I don't sleep much.

It does all of the above and there are sound effects that come out of the controller!

I didn't hear that! :p

Counter Culture Fast Forward Blend - Blend Components:45% CODECH, Guatemala; 45% Apu, Peru; 10% Idido, Ethiopia

It's very interesting almost reminds me of a mate tea. Like a mix of green tea and coffee the way people in Hong Kong drink "yin-yang" coffee drinks. The best part is the place where I get macaron's for my Thanksgiving event at my brother in law's sells it below market at $13 a pound.

Yes, Thanksgiving was wonderful. I drank a bunch of coffee. Deathwish and Peet's Holiday mixed 50-50 is about as perfect as I can get out of my drip.
