Cold Steel 2011

Cold Steel: Your G10 is awesome, just not under the clip.

Less than 5 minutes, remove three screws, get some 320 - 400 grit sandpaper, rub about 1/4 inch in front of where clip would rest going back about 1/2 to 3/4", reset clip & screws and the knives glide in and out of the pocket. I've done a few and it's easy-peasy! ;)

A little sandpaper ought to fix that. :)

I wonder if any of their current Teflon only folders will come out in an uncoated version... Beadblasted would be acceptable, but satin or stonewashed would be even better.

I like the look of the leatherneck, it'a almost like a smaller recon scout with a more aggressive grip. I really like my recon scout!

A cheap Outdoorsman is pretty sweet too, but I've never used that steel, so not sure about it yet.

Krupp 4116 is also known as X50CrMoV15; it's the same steel found in knives from Forschner, Henckels, Messermeister, and Wüsthof. It's got more toughness and stain resistance than some more popular stainless steels and less wear resistance. Their Pocket Bushman uses the same steel.

If Cold Steel's treatment of VG-1 (excellent!) is any indication of their treatment of Krupp 4116, it'll make for a good or great beater.

Thanks Thom. I've heard good things about the Pocket Bushman, so I may have to pick one of these up.

I don't think their current models will be released in anything other than Teflon for 2011, however it looks like the new Voyagers will be stonewashed.

IMHO, the boomerang looks AWESOME!!! Definitely an original concept: v shaped and comes back to you.... wait a minute, I think I've seen that somewhere........

Not much exciting there.

Virtually indestructible boomerang !!! I need it.

+ the G10 XL espada, love it

for $40 you'd have to be crazy not to be all over this
