Cold Steel 2013 Lineup/New Products

I have a spear point recon 1 with the teflon stripped
Code 4 appears to be inbetween a mini recon/fullsize
3.5 inch blade/4.3 ounces
I am jealous :P
 
I worry about the aluminum on the Code 4, simply because in the past I've found that Cold Steel's aluminum to be buttery soft. Time will tell though!
 
The Code-4 looks interesting.

I wish Cold Steel would do some traditional patterns with the G10/Triad lock construction.

They "did"... The mackinac hunter and lone star hunter... They look good in pictures and on paper, not so much in real life. :D
 
The Smatchet looks a little bit like the Roman Gladius short sword to me. I like Cold Steel and thing they make some unique and quality stuff.

The "Hide Out" on the other hand, well, just put it on a pike of some sort and you've got a Roman spear. As a spear I think it would make a very effective weapon, not sure how useful it would be as is though.

The Smatchet definitely looks like their runs of machete materials. Think thin steel, cheaply made etc....I hope I'm wrong but it seems so to me. We'll know when we get some specs and prices on the secondary market.

It's clearly a part of their machete line up. 2.8mm 1055 on poly handles.
 
Now that Cold Steel has all the photos and desriptions of their 2013 products up on their site, I'm really struck by what a great line up they have this year. There are at least 8 item that I think I'm going to have to get eventually. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to get the Chaos fixed blades in Canada because of the knuckleduster type handles.
 
I placed a pre-order for the cold steel counter point XL, it has been long waited. It is better than ti-lite and hold out 1. Cold Steel did it again.
 
seems like an improvement over the recon 1 - as strong as them but lighter and I like the satin blade.

and hell yes I gonna spend 190$ for the warcraft tanto.
really sad that knuckle dusters are illegal in my country so the chaos knives are, too.
 
The Code-4 looks nice. Website says aluminum handles and :( AUS8 steel. The knife looks awesome, the lock is great, it's not overly built like most CS but I'm weary of their knives.

The Spike is (imo) UGLY.
 
Just watched a couple of 2013 Talwar vids on youtube. That thing looks sweet! As with many CS items, it looks way better on vid than on the website. Really beautiful satin polish blades on these. I'm also glad they've gone with their now common linerless G-10 scales on these. :thumbup:
