Thought the same thing at first glance, but it quickly grew on me.Could have done without the fruity scribing though. I know I know... added friction.
JB, what's the handle thickness? Is this thing a Narrows killer lol? I mean, for a third the price, even if it's a little thicker, why bother with the Narrows? I said the same thing about the Code 4, but it's aluminum, so the Atlas is more apples to apples.good grab. It's thin but I think you'll like it. one of the few new designs cold steel did right, for what it is.....
I haven't measured it...but pretty thin. code 4 sounds pretty close....but my memory could be off. ill measure it tomorrow.JB, what's the handle thickness? Is this thing a Narrows killer lol? I can't find my ruler at work right now..but just a bit wider than a pencil. maybe just around 9 or 10mm's roughly thick.JB, what's the handle thickness? Is this thing a Narrows killer lol? with the 25% coupon code it falls into worth it category.....if ya like this kinda thinner folderThat’s tempting, seems like a nice knife.
2.9mm blade thickness at the spineDoes anybody know the blade thickness and grind? Looks like a high flat grind.
Where is this sale, if I may ask?25% off labor day sale, checked and the satin one seems to be back in stock, so have one inbound.
cold steel website. it was email sent out. code is USA25Where is this sale, if I may ask?
Thank you!cold steel website. it was email sent out. code is USA25
use it at checkout for the discount.....says whole site valid except for the titanium ad10 maybe couple others, but think it works on the fm1 atlas as jlauffer used it.....
no bother. hope ya get what ya want and save a few bucks..Thank you!
Ended up with a satin FM1. It checked a lot of boxes for me. Also, I’m weak in the face of a good deal.no bother. hope ya get what ya want and save a few bucks..
weird. I got an s35vn engage on sale and it's also lock tight, no play. also got another fm1 atlas in titanium without the black coating and it's also super tight. I do prefer the tri-ad though....but im past disliking this atlas lock. ones I got it works and better than axis lock play wise......I bought the Engage in 4116 and FRN and AUS-10A and G10 with full steel liners. Both have the same bit of up/down wiggle with no side to side wiggle. No way am I giving them more money on a new design when the Tri-Ad is one step away from being a fixed blade. Hopefully if you buy the higher dollar models with the Atlas lock they lose the wiggle.
Only Atlas Lock , so far , I've experience with is on my Mayhem .I bought the Engage in 4116 and FRN and AUS-10A and G10 with full steel liners.
