Cold Steel Knives AK-47

We don't make any sort of sheath for the Espadas right now sorry.
It might be an idea to reach out to a custom sheath maker. I know Lynn has several sheaths made by Mike Sastre at River City. He does good work.

I haven't seen any spear point Triple Actions in a VERY long time.
We had several tanto point ones at the last Parking Lot Sale but I think they sold fast
Sorry

Like my BNIB all black Cold Steel Scimitar the only one's I could find have increased in value more that I expected or can afford. I'm kickin' myself now for not buying one when they first came out. Better investment than money in the bank! Let me know if you have the Cold Steel AK-47 Aluminum Handle with 3-1/2" Plain Edge if you can.

Thank You

I haven't seen any in quite some time.
It's always worth checking out our Parking Lot Sale - we sometimes have some rare stuff on sale at those events

3.5" I believe. Beast of a folder. Heavy. I got this from a PX years ago. It's seen some use...

In the current production it does, the ultra-lock 1st edition was only one size.

I'm pretty psyched about getting the Mini for my birthday later this week.

I've heard great things about this and others in Cold Steel's lineup.

I look forward to seeing post back your thoughts after carrying it for awhile. I'm curious as to how the g10 holds up and if it makes it difficult to get out of your pocket quickly. It looks like a very nice and durable edc.

I EDC the full size AK-47 and the small AK-47. There both my favorite folders, the full size is only for defense while the small one and my Skeletool are for utility only. At least thats my idea anyway.

At least thats my idea anyway. I really like the plate on top of the blade and the wave feature. I smoothed out G-10 a little under the pocket clips, I keep clips on both sides so I have an ambidextrous carry knife.

The new TriAd version of the AK47 fits my hand like a glove. I really love the ergos on that piece, and it's one of my favorite Cold Steel knives. Along with the AL, and Recon 1 Clip and Tanto.

Sadly no, the one I had was given to a long time friend that went to Belize with the PeaceCorps. That was 3 years ago. I do have my Recon 1 CP, American Lawman, and the micro recons, and a couple others. I'll take some pics for the photo thread.

I got lucky and received a what looks like brand new, Aluminum handle Cold Steel AK47 with the axis type of lock. It really does fit my hand very well.

Would spraying it down with WD-40 cause any issues or problems?

This is a great knife

I would recommend checking out our catalog archive if you are going to explore older discontinued models
You'll find the product specs as well as good photos to use for research and comparison.
If there's specific information that you need I will do my best to help you.

"Also, for $70, you only get AUS8, crappy coating, and made in Taiwan"

* You actually get Japanese AUS 8A (with our heat treatment - which is pretty darn excellent), American G10 and Taiwanese assembly. Made in Taiwan doesn't really cover the whole picture

As for "Mall Ninja" :D
...I've been called a lot worse

Have a great day

I Find that since the steel is no longer stamped on the blade that the knives feel of higher quality. when i see aus8 on a knife i have this odd emotional twinge of dissapointment because of poor treatments or bad experiences. but on my spartan lately i think it performs pretty well considering , and my recon tanto was my first cs fixed blade and i never had any gripes with it untill benchmade and spyderco became an infatuation with their super steels, i wonder how much is just mental and how much of a super steel is fact?

I agree the mental factor is a huge one..Ive always been a fan of super steels, But this AUS8 has been spectacular in my opinion. Ive owned the best of the best. The blade on my AK holds a sharp edge plenty long. And the level of sharpness that I can get is amazing. The overall package is just amazing. Its easily my favorite work knife ive ever owned as it fits like a glove. Ive enjoyed my para, mili, sebbie, rukus strider and a few hundred others. But the lock would never keep up with the steel or the steel would chip under hard use. This is my first Cold Steel and for some reason, im proud to see the AUS 8 on the side. Don't know what happened but im hooked. That said, I will not carry a knife that has even a smidgen of blade play. That's my mental weakness, and im happy to say that this full size ak has none and continues to amaze me. I draw the line a 8cr13mov and similar steels, ive had a few knives with that steel easily bend. And dull scary fast.
