Yep! Friggin cold is right, 29°& falling. Probably have a couple of icey patches to watch out for on my way home.

If two beckerheads team up, is it one set of equipment between them or do they get to have their own?
 
Moose I guess I will kick off the questions here.

1. Is a backpack or other form of conveyance for the items listed acceptable?

2. Are EDC items allowed? (Within reason of course. For example, the bandanna I always carry in my back pocket, would those types of items be acceptable?)

3. No water purification items are listed. Are people limited to only the boiling water method?


For those attempting this, for what good it is, I will give this as advice: When you think you have enough insulation, quadruple it, and then you might get close to how much you will need, but probably not.
 
Moose just wants to see if anyone will burn an American flag.
 
Does the Ritter/Becker count as a Becker knife, since it's not a BK&T product?
 
So am I supposed to make a backpack or water container out of the cat?

Nope. Loves me some America.

As far as team ups go, there must be 2 seperate campsites, and ya'll gotta do your own thing. An entry each and so on. Last time we done this kind of challenge, Derek and Pointy teamed up but did their own entey each.

No sharing.....

For good reason. A contest like this in the middle of winter is extremely irresponsible. You're assuming that the people attempting this know what they're doing. You may have gotten yourself off legally with your little disclaimer but will you be able to sleep at night if someone dies attempting this?

My advice to everyone is to skip this and wait for the next contest. Your life isn't worth a few knives.

Wow, someone woke up on the cranky side of the bed.

I would think it is pretty obvious that if people don't feel up to it then they aren't going to try it. No need to get over-dramatic about it.
