Guys,
I am not against people buying what they like. You just don't get to complain when you go to sell or trade the knife and you take a hit.
Yes, if enough of these collectors take enough hits they will leave the hobby/industry.
The more thought given to potential value of the knife will keep collectors from taking a hit or not as severe a hit. This may keep them in the hobby/industry longer. Ultimately this will benefit everyone in the custom knife hobby/industry.
Most of the collectors posting here buy a lot of knives every year. Most are expensive as well. Since they don't possess an endless source of money, their buying habits dictate that they at least give resale potential a thought.
For those collectors buying 1 or 2 knives a year, resale is probably not something they give much thought to.
