Nice philllll! Middle photo third from the left under your Millennium Rose. That looks to be some fine wood? What is it?
 
I spent quite a while when I first found BladeForums looking at some older threads about a modified PLS being made by O'Katz. I have never been able to find a link or any way to get information about buying a blade from him anywhere on the internet even the local Malaysian knife forum. Congrats on a beautiful and unique blade Philllll. Do you know if the artist is still making blades or any info about his current work if any? Last info I saw about him was from JayGoliath and that was over a year ago. Hope he is doing well even if he isn't making blades anymore.
 
O'Katz is very much still making more knives than ever. Phil got hooked once he gotten his Kitty Barong.
Not to derail from the thread but this is my beloved Kleaver from him.

Looks like some nice Tiger Maple on the handle. That's a very nice cleaver. Derail all you want, I never get tired of looking at nice stuff.
 
I am glad this thread got new life blown into it. I haven't had a chance to see philll's collection yet. I was thinking of getting glass display cases but found they were expensive and hard to come by in the size I needed. That wooden shelf looks great though, they are easier to come by and I think I will go that route after seeing your display phillll

Very envy worthy collection buddy! Are those all HI's?

Hey Karda... Since this is the Cantina is it ok if I post pics of my sword collection even though they are non HI? Its mainly Japanese and some medieval stuff, nothing that is in direct competition with HI.

GB, go ahead and post pictures of whatever collections you want! I posted some Spydercos earlier in the thread. The cantina is for "off-topic" stuff.

Thanks for the compliments. Almost everything in that photo is HI, with the exception of a couple on the bottom shelf. That's not even my whole collection, just the ones I keep on display. I haven't put them all together in one photo yet, mostly for my own sanity.
 
That is another Beauty Jay. I agree with Philllll and Bawanna, more pictures please :D I would love to see more of your O'Katz collections. From what I have read on a Malaysian forum you have a few beauties. Don't you have one of the SODs? and a couple others too?

Definately love to see everyone's collections. There are a lot of beautiful blades out there. One of the things that moves me so much about HI blades is how each one is a work of art formed from a unique piece of steel by a unique Kami. Traditional handmade blades in all the various styles just speak to me. So as i said above, pictures pictures and more pictures please. :D
