It used to be mine. It's from part of my stash that I sold to raise money for Beanie Weiner.
If you ever decide to sell it and if I ever have any goldang play money, i'd like consideration on getting it back if you don't mind, philll.

I love it Philllll I noticed the posting about half hour after your I'll take it post, or I would have tried to get that pretty darling myself.

You got it... you are first on the list. The craftsmanship on this thing is amazing. Can't stop looking at it.

I recently added this old khuk to my collection. The seller stated that he bought it from an old man while trekking through Nepal in 1971. Didn't know the age beyond that. It is a really beautifully made knife, about 13" or 14" overall. The handle is a partial tang and looks to have been filled or repaired at some point. The karda & chakma were missing but the leather sheath is still in decent shape.

Nice. Karda, I have heard of those. Aren't they sort of a general utility knife? About all I know about them is the special part is the sheath and the work done to it and that seems to be how to identify them? Really awesome catch Philllll

They are for cutting down your Ganja. Hence the name Ganjuwal. It grows wild in Nepal. :D

LOL Karda, I had not heard that. Very interesting concept. Though, it might explain all the political unrest in the region ;)

I'm just pulling your legs really. It come from the Ganjuwal village in eastern Nepal. Although I have heard it described as above.

LoL, oh I knew you were teasing about that. I actually have heard of these knives though I wouldn't have recognized it until you told me what it was. Like I said from what I remember the blades are for basic farm utility use something about them being compared to like a swiss army knife of the Khukuri, though that might be just marketing lore. And they put a lot of effort/ingredients into making the sheath leather really soft and that knubby texture. Something like burying it in mustard for weeks or longer or some such I think. Any truth to any of that "lore" I have heard or just someone trying to make a knife seem interesting to the ignorant gal cause they wanted to sell it to me?

Always has to flash the Foxy, every time. Elevates my pulse rate that one does.
