collections

I so want to be part of this thread, such cool collections. Sadly still have about 3 blades in the mail and don't want to post my collection incomplete.

Don't gotta be blades. I'm gonna take pictures of my 2012 and 2013 used staple collection, and my troll collection.

I used to have a giant tinfoil ball collection but that got tossed long ago.

Here's a picture of what's left of my once vast video game collection, and all this will be boxed up and gone too. My man cave's become a storage area for displaced by the babyfication of the house, hence the pink tutu lamp and whatnot. I'm going to try to find an old picture from the height of my collection.

And here's what's left of my old computers. I used to have them all hooked up and displayed nicely, now they're relegated to a dank corner. They'll all be gone soon too.

If I shaved with one of those I'd bleed out before I was half finished. Men in the old days were real men, don't know how they did it.

Thanks! The result of many years of going to thrift stores and flea markets.

I used to have a bunch of oscilloscopes, now just these two remain. The top one's from the 50's or 60's and still works. US made ones from the 50's/60's usually work, but Japanese made ones from the 70's/80's usually don't.

Nice straight razors! When I shave I use a Gem 1912 safety razor and I rarely manage not to cut myself. This pic isn't mine but it looks the same.

soooo cooooool , I have old navy electronic equipment, radio and scope both still work ! but they dont look as cool as yours, and wtf blue you could build a house from your media boxes ! those should all be knives!

Blue i think a few of them computers are in the smithsonian now! I remember the compaq and old IBM's. I used to work for PC's Limited (now Dell Computer) about 1984 and we built our versions of those portables which were about suitcase size back then running a blazing 4.7 megahertz with big clunker 10 megabite seagates! Love them scopes! I used them everyday but now upgraded to Tectronics 4 channel DPO. I see some old stereo stuff. Ill try to get some pics of my Bob Carver collection soon.

Your blade collection will never be complete. No one's blade collection is ever complete.

And blue lander: Based on the first photo, your video collection is still vast, though it might once have been more vast For comparison, the only video game I ever owned was Pong, when it first came out. I still think back with fondness of that virtual ping pong ball bouncing around the screen, making a little "pong" sound with every rebound. That was in the stone age, of course.

My collection used to span all 4 walls rather than just the one, and that was after selling and trashing a bunch of stuff. I think I have a whole box full of "pong" clones somewhere. They're all basically the same although some can play squash or basketball (all still just a paddle and ball of course). I think the original Pong is still the best. I have a soviet made pong clone somewhere too.

I'd love to see that. The only Carver made amp I have is a Phase Linear 400. I had it hooked up to two pairs of stacked large Advent speakers, it sounded pretty nice. Later I found a pair of JBL L100 speakers and used those instead. I eventually had to retire the Phase Linear because it kept burning up output transistors. I modified the circuit to use newer and easier to find transistors, but it blew those too. Nowadays all I use are firstwatt amps designed by Nelson Pass. He publishes the schematics for free along with tutorials on how to build them.

I used to have some of those suitcase computers, I think they were from IBM and Kaypro, though. Maybe a Compaq too.

You're right of course, and if I wasn't ceding all that territory I'd use that wall for displaying swords and knives. I don't think I've actually played a video game in 4 years now... too busy with grownup stuff.

im in the middle of selling off my filipino collection, here are the ones i have left under the bed :)
gonna keep the HI talwar though i like it!

Get those blades nekkid, I want to see em. I don't think the rules allow you to sell stuff here which you aren't really doing but I'd like to see em. I'd say PM me but I don't think you can do that either. Maybe it's best anyhow.
I'm right proper poorer than dirt right at the moment. Even dressed some of those look most interesting.

Don't know much about filipino stuff, actually it's all sharp pointy stuff to me. Either it sings or it don't. Sadly most sing. My name is bawanna and I'm a sharp pointy thing addict.

Quick smoke signal to Ndoghouse........dude your mail box is full and I miss you terribly! Not in any mano mano way ya understand.

Those phillipine blades are nice... I never got into them because even the cheapo modern ones are a little expensive. Seems like even a simple barong is going to run you near a hundred bucks.

Probably not accuraie to call only two of anything a "collection", but this is the Lawrence of Arabia Collection so far  .
