Obviously an antique Marlin duh? I hate myself I had to type that. I hate myself.

unsure of its origins,
i got stuck in the leg by a marlin(through the boat) when i was working as a leader man in kona hawaii, after that i decided i wanted to own a marlin bill spike knife..

That's too creative. I think the dragon bone knitting needle is more possible.

You know you walked into it man, how could any semi normal impersonation of a human let an opportunity like that pass.

I still hate myself though.

I just got confirmation that my deposits are there and these two blades are mine eventually , I am pretty proud of these

a Parang Ihlang apparently , very nice, actually has the original side knife probably late 19th maybe mid if lucky

you will notice how similar this is to my other "sea dayak" sword, the brass plugs generally stand for "heads taken" , the dayak pirates were definitely the most prolific head takers because they picked up piracy from the arab muslims. Oxidation makes me think this could be early 19th but likely mid 19th, either way a good find.

very neat blades, i cant see then being very comfortable in the hand, but they are very cool, i have wanted a kampilan, but the grip looks soo uncomfortable..i like blades that i could use to cut someone down with if necessary..

Those are both outstanding! I bet they fit nice and comfortably in the smaller hands of headhunter. I especially like that top one.

How are you or how do you intend to display your museum quality collection Gehazi?

I am contemplating buying a reproduction dayak shield and setting up a sword stand with that as the background, I certainly want to keep the spirits satisfied, I have been researching good sword cabinets, I am going to insure them. the other head hunter stuff will be nearby, and is worthy but nothing has my love like mandau, so funny how this started because of kronk posting his dhas then I went and burned myself with some tourist pieces and started really researching, and now its come to this, empty bank account and sword payments like car payments :D

Anybody but me getting voo doo feelings, like your getting pins pushed in your back and feet burning over a candle.

That's extremely cool, way out of my league but super cool. Do appease the spirits, me thinks they aren't to be trivalled with.

A snippet of my not so extensive collection. The bowie on the right is the latest addition. The khukuri on top looks like an Indian tourist piece, although it IS carbon steel. The dagger I really have no clue about. The price was right at a local antique mall. The only knife I really know anything about is the RH-36 on bottom.
