I would prefer to buy my knives in store. This gives me a chance to hold said knife and I know what I'm getting right then. That and the fact, I don't entirely put all my trust in the postal system plus I hate the wait.
Unfortunately buying decent knives in stores now days is not very common. I have only one store close to me (within 45 minutes) that is a benchmade dealer but that's it. Prices in store are usually higher than what the internet offers because they need to make a profit somewhere.
I've even thought about opening a knife store but us knife knuts are very far and few in between, so I'm not sure how I would fare with that business
