Come to the Snark side

Wife figured out the taxes tonight. Not getting much back, but it sure is better than owing.

I didn't get as much back as I normally do. I didn't have any taxes taken out for the 2 months that I was farming and I have no healt insurance, so I was fined like $350 for that. All in all I got less than half of what I did last year.

Probably because most people realize that trying to forcibly slice through frozen solid objects is rough on an edge. It's kind of like seeing how good a knife is by seeing how it does chopping through a cinderblock.

So that just means you need to use a BK2

I think you would have as much success chopping a frozen standing water bottle with a knife as you would with a baseball bat.

You would need to anchor it on a screw / bolt or something... then be careful not to hit such things as you attempted to cut through it...

On second thought.... I have a Gerber combo machete that might work :D

I tried to do my taxes online back in January but the website I was using didn't have the state unit ready. I kept checking back for a month and it still wasn't ready, or at least I thought. Just had to clear my browser cache. :o

Anyway, I'm getting back $2400 total. I could buy a decent truck with that. And have.

I just went and checked... But i dont see it ...... Did you make sure there was a "Z" at the end and not an "S" ??

Hey I just copied the one you put on the last snark. It looks like it has a z, but I sent it again. My email has been doing funny things recently, it probably just didn't send for some reason. Hopefully it gets there this time.;)

Thanks
Greebe

It is suppose to be -18F tonight with a realfeal of -31F. Haha, but NPR keeps talking about global warming in Minnesota, yet right after having thier program saying the state is warming they come on with the weather and all the record lows we are having. Rigghhhhhttt!

Same here, less than half. I was glad to see we actually got a return on state tax this year though. We usually pay state tax.

I posted these on one of the archery forums. They are some arrows I put together with feathers I cut by hand. Time consuming, but a good way to pass the time. I also make my own barred feathers as well. The shafts are GT 1535 Trad's.

I have to write a paragraph about the underlying meaning of that poem on Monday.. I don't mind doing it, but I have no clue what it means even after reading stuff about it other than "a guy makes a descision". :(

You will know when you are over 50. It's kind of the point to make you think about it now. It could make all the difference.

nice mini-spears, G.
stupid cold overnight here, but supposed to be above freezing today. Heading to the shop to flail around with sandpaper etc.

Yeah.....but it's the trend of global warming, not the specific days. Like how stupid warm it is in the Pacific Northwest right now. This big spaceship's climate has been around for a time longer than most hairless primate's brains can even fathom. Don't forget the Grand Canyon was formed by flooding.......several times. And we're only just coming out of the last Ice Age that might've allowed human beans to be in 'Murica....

we went down to 0°F last night, and tonight it's gonna rain & snow, and Sunday night back down to the single digits. What it is is crazy weather.....but paleoclimatologically speaking, not out of the ordinary.

This must be the opposite sketches. We were 11 degrees short of your balmy 0F. I was pretty happy with making it as far up as 8 by the time I got out of bed.

The Moose is back. I hope it's not just a moon phase.

I hope not either.......

Be careful with words like "moon phase"......

I been known to......

Cool, my brother has a Sage, seems to like it pretty well. My bow in the picture is a Bear Grizzly #45. Nice bow to shoot. I also ordered a custom Falco Storm R/D Longbow that should be getting shipped to the US in March.

Here is what I posted about it last month on one of the archery forums.

Well guys, I do not know if you have heard of the Falco Archery company in Estonia, but they do both production and custom bows.

After seeing a lot of good reviews and videos on a particular model called the Falco Storm, I decided to place a custom order with my own wood combinations and spec's.

Here is what I ordered:
Falco Storm 54" / max draw 29"
Right Hand, 45# @28"
Weight 0.8 lbs (from a personal review)
Handle - Dark Cocobolo and Madagascar Ebony Stripe
Limbs - Medium to dark Palisander

This is quite a short bow for a R/D Longbow, but I think that is what is cool about it. The reviews I have read seem to indicate that it shoots as well as many of the longer bows but just a smaller package.

It will look similar to this but with only one stripe.

This is a Storm as well with similar wood.

Here is a picture of a strung Storm but in different woods. This will give an idea of the size and shape.

I think this will make a really nice woods hunting and stump shooting bow. I am really excited about it but the only draw back is that it will be about 12 weeks before it is done and shipped.

Ah well, I think the wait will be worth it. Plus it will give me something to look forward to and day dream about for the next 3 months. Hehe. :D

Howdy Moose.

I use to have a sage... Just never found time, and room, to shoot it so i let it go to another forumite. But it was a sweet bow.

Got it this time and replied!

Thanks man

Watching Moose shoot at Ethan's almost tugged me into this world. Almost. I need another gear hobby like I need another stove.

Fortunes have been spent shooting pointy sticks......
