Update time; apparently the cardiologist wasn't as worried as the ER doc and the heart monitor company. She thinks it's Vasovagal syncope. Which basically is unpredictable and may or may not ever concern me again. I'll undergo a stress test in a couple hours and then should be let out of the hospital soon after. Bad news is, I'll probably be back to work tonight or tomorrow.

Murph, stop loading your pack with Vaseline packets and steri-pads. They'll charge you for that stuff, you know.
Glad to hear that it's more minor than major. Pics of hot nurses are welcome.

Vasovagal syncope.

You may have caught this from snuggling with Moose. Ask for penicillin.

Peni won't work. You gotta get the strong stuff.....and a steroid.

Whew. Got the full sized axe/hatchet/hawk design finished up. Its basically a hex hawk at 15" OAL and .25" thick stock. But i couldnt just scale it up or the handle would be too wide for comfort... I had to change the sizes of the handle, of the cutouts in the handle and still keep it the same shape and change the size of the top hex cutout while keeping it all looking proportionate. Sounded simple, ended up taking more time than i imagined.

Now just to figure out a name for it that is similar or relates to its little brother the Hex Hawk... Maybe Hatchet Hawk... Hex Hatchet... Bronie axe ???? :D

I know there was a thread on this a while back but...

Any recommendations for a hammock?
Trying to stay under $200 for hammock, tarp, bug net, straps, basically all that I would need to swing comfortably.
I don't even know if I will like sleeping in a hammock but figured it would save some weight instead of a tent.

New thread: Swinging Beckerheads?

I personally use an Appalachian Hammock, with an Eno bug net, and a regular ole tarp. The tarps you can actually kind of cheat on and make your own, if you are inclined, and have an aptitude to inject some thread.

I use an eno double nest with slap strap pros ( though I would reccomendation the atlas straps instead) with a military issue bug net made for a cot bar and a Hennessy hex tarp. This set up has worked perfectly for me

ENO doublenest. You can get some straps along with it for that price. Might even have a little left over.

I prefer my ENO doublenest over my bed. I love it. I also recommend the Atlas straps with it, they rock.

I got the indoor wall hanging hardware and i hang mine right in the living room. I can watch TV and hang. Makes for great naps.
