1 point for WW

Yea... Im a killer snark.... 'er

Ok you can have the point back for that lame reply HAHAHA sorry. brain stopped working.

 I actually had a good day today too. This is kinda putting a damper on things now. I have to say I'm pretty pissed about the hot tub freezing, but getting that extra little bit from the wife after such a nice day together was the kick in the nuts. I swear our youngest has a sense of things too... cause he just woke up and is refusing to go back to sleep hah.

Yea man i swear every time things seem great something seems to happens to knock you back down to reality. Hope things with the tub turn out OK bro.

For some reason I'm having difficulty posting in this thread :/

Thanks WW

Primary concern is damage control with the wife :/ I could give all the excuses in the world (like not doing chemicals while nobody was using it because of my knee surgery) but at the end of the day she's correct. I didn't check it every 2 days like I'm supposed to, and its potentially going to cost us $250-1500 to fix. :(

Found comfort in a old friend named Lefty while I was giving it the warm water treatment. Now I have the space heater in the panels to see if I can thaw the pipes before the repair man gets here.

This is the way life goes.....get used to it. At least it ain't a sewerage problem. Of all the crap you have to deal with as the man of the house, none of it is as terrible as dealing with ACTUAL crap.
Once you get that hot tub working again (as I know you will), don't let your wife use it. Trust me, it'll be good for your marriage to lord it over her for a while ;).

Hah, sounds like good advice ;)

Yah, I'm writing a book.....

Yeah... You and every married man (or in a relationship) on the planet.

Mine's titled "The Doc Savage complete guide to women, or, what I have learned about women that won't do any other man any good"

Sure to be a best seller.

Doc

Doc, my father-in-law always used to tell me his book was going to be titled "A 1/4 inch off" because my mother-in-law had a way of always finding a small flaw in everything he tried to do. After 37 years of marriage to his daughter I'm going to write the sequel, "An 1/8 inch off" because sometimes it seems that no matter how much effort I put into something or how 'relatively perfect' it turns out, a flaw or different way of doing it is always the first thing noticed or mentioned.

Gotta love 'em, cause well, you just can't do the other stuff that crosses your mind from time to time. Ha!

Well, I am[I/] old. But so far I'm resisting the wisdom that's supposed to come with.

Your choice ;) I like getting the advice from people my senior. Can't argue with somebody who's already done it!

No need to write the book, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 99.9% of men experience the same thing (with .1% possibility of error, or fake marriage).

decided i wanted a couple life adjustments, so i've given up all the fun things, including booze, for at least February, maybe all of March
the money i save will be used towards a table saw (Sawstop?) and other tools.
Nothin' wrong with running a cleaning cycle every now and then. I should probably try that some time :o

Something's screwy, but they say it can be fixed.

That's good to hear! I may have to take you off the Ma Deuce testing team, though.... that much awesomeness might be too much for your ticker... :p

Been trolling the Becker forums for a long time and finally signed up. Not sure what this threads theme is (general snarkiness) so I'll add a reply in hopes for it counting towards my Beckerhead prereq's!!

I don't think snark posts count towards your BH number. Comments and questions to that end are supposed to be "of value" :D However, passing around George Dickel definitely counts in your favor.

Thought this was rootbeer but its beer. It was in the organic section .

If it's made without wheat or barley, does it really even count as "beer"? What the heck do they make it out of, soybeans?

Got curious.
Looked it up.

wikipedia said:
Beers brewed mainly from cereals such as millet, rice, sorghum, buckwheat and corn, which do not contain gluten, do not trigger an autoimmune response in celiacs. Some brewers brew with barley or rye, and reduce the level of gluten to below 20 ppm. In most countries this technically classifies them as gluten-free beers.

The general theme of these threads can been found in Worldwood's signature.

HAH! I see that.. Hell yeah, I'm down like four flat tires cuz...lol
I keep the colloidal silver handy fer my cuts and slices...whoops!

Update time; apparently the cardiologist wasn't as worried as the ER doc and the heart monitor company. She thinks it's Vasovagal syncope. Which basically is unpredictable and may or may not ever concern me again. I'll undergo a stress test in a couple hours and then should be let out of the hospital soon after. Bad news is, I'll probably be back to work tonight or tomorrow.

Well, that's good news. I'm not sure I'd let them mess around with my vasovagal though.

Or maybe you'll get lucky and pass out again.

Good news! Maybe get that hot nurse to assist you with your stress test ;)
