Come to the Snark side

Routh admitted to knowing what he did was wrong. That negates any insanity plea. I'm surprised it took as long as it did.

Sometime people just piss me off. One of my classes is a tech theatre class, we build and run the school productions, and we were having a slow day so I decided to sharpen the only chisels we had. The edge was all kinds of jacked up. So I got out a little bit of wet/dry sand paper and set to work, I slowly flattened the back of the chisel, taking out the bevel that someone put on it, then slowly worked on the original bevel, smoothing it out and getting rid of all the chips and gouges. The whole time everyone is calling me an idiot for using sand paper to sharpen something  I finally got it to where I could put it to a stone to put an actual edge on it, but I had ran out of time. After the weekend when I went to go finish it, it turns out one of the kids, that said I didn't know what I was doing, had taken it home to "fix my mistakes" by taking it to a bench grinder and completely f***ed it up, and when I asked him why, his only response was " it's sharp, don't complain". I swear, I really can't stand People some times

I hope you complained.
Some people feel compelled to ruin the work of others, or replace it with their own. Such people should be publicly humiliated.

Take it home yourself and show him what sharp really means.

Got a question, how do you guys feel about WIP threads? I'm working on a few fancier ornate pieces for Blade. Pretty much will be putting the finishing touches on one of them today. So, that means I will be starting on the next one soon. Im thinking it will be a coffin handled brass back, I have to make one to top the last one I made. Anyway, I thought about making a start to finish thread on it on my subforum, but im talking about a thread that might drag out all the way till June. Too much? Do you think it would lose to much interest dragging out that long? Cause id hate to put the effort into the thread if that was the case.

I love them. I love going to the car forums and seeing threads of guys rebuilding their vehicles.

Hey, for anybody that is interested in purchase T.M.Hunt knives with no wait. Theres gonna be some good news. I have landed two dealer gigs. Im super excited about it. Howes knife shop is now carrying a limited amount of knives and have a large order in place. Check it out.

I dont know if im allowed to post a link here or not, but I will on my sub forum soon.

I also landed a deal with a second well known dealer that has a substantial order in with me, but I will wait till they have my product until I announce who that is.

Hells yeah.

The supervisors, one LT in particular, seem to think that just because my job is easy that they can shit on us and we're just spoiled if we complain. It was made clear that the LT doesn't care one bit if I know what post I'll be working when I get back from my weekend, apparently making sure the scheduled is written 5 days in advance is just too much trouble. His attitude about the whole thing was what really got to me and I damn near went off on him. I think our society might actually be more civilized if we lowered the bar for what justifies throat-punching someone.

Then on the way home I hit the DQ drive through and some idiot rear-ends me at the window. Before I got out of my Blazer to choke him it occurred to me that he probably has insurance, and if he doesn't I have uninsured/under insured coverage so the damage would be covered. Turns out there was no damage to either vehicle and he apologized profusely, so I was able to keep from cussing him out.

My mood was greatly improved when I arrived home and discovered Netflix just added Grounded for Life. I like that show a bunch. And Megyn Price is hot.

Would have been a fruitless effort, everyone agreed with his actions, unfortunately

That was the plan, but I made the mistake of asking the teacher if she would allow me to take it and fix it up. Her reply was no, it would be better if she gave it to one of the adults to sharpen instead

Fixed it for ya.

Ha, if only

'Tis a great show, didn't realize it was on Netflix though

I've often thought that many of life's problems could be solved with a simple throat punch

I think they added it today.

I can't think of a problem that can't be solved with violence. It might not be the best choice, it may very well create other problems, but it can solve problems.

So I saw the '78 Mercury Cougar on CL for $1100 but the add says make offer and that he needs it gone. I'm thinking I could probably get it for $800, fix what needs immediate attention, and drive it for a bit. I could probably double my money with a little elbow grease and some decent pics. I already emailed the guy so we'll see what happens. I still need to get my pickup fixed but I can afford both and still have cash in reserve.

Looks to be in decent shape too Hoss. I'd snatch it up too if I was you.

Tonight, for the third time this winter, the truck I drive wouldn't start. I'm missing out on another night of work again. I darn near told my boss to shove it. I'm getting really tired of the lack of maintenance the last few years since his wife passed away. We have a spare truck, but it has been inoperable since September. If he had at least gotten that one fixed, I could be driving it while the normal truck gets worked on. I don't particularly want to quit, or look for a new job, but something has got to give.
