78% of percentages are made up on the spot.![]()
Yeah but that's only true 35% of the time.
Let's do some more optical illusions.
Anything wrong with this?

Duck or rabbit?

Two old people or?

Top it all off, truck's been running bad for couple months. Had it in and out of the shop 4 times. Blown head gasket. '02 Dodge Ram with 200K miles on her. Repairs are going to cost what she's worth.![]()
No no no, I'm a child. Obviously I'm the one who's wrong.![]()

So put the amount it will take to fix the old one into a "newer" one that runs and part out the old one. Each unbent door, hood, tailgate, bed body are worth more than scrap value.
I had an old 1976 Dodge that was plumb wore out but the body was in good shape. The "auto-recycler" offered me $250. I ended up selling each door for $200, the tail gate and bed body for $400 and the hood for $275 to guys who were repairing similar trucks that ran but had body damage. I got $100 each for the transmission (needed work), front windshield/rear window. I sold the engine for $100 to a guy who wanted to rebuild a 318 for his own truck that had no engine. Miscellaneous items brought in another $200 or so. (Bench seat, headlights, steering wheel, master brake cylinder, etc). When it was all over, I sold the carcass to the scrap dealer for $4.50/100# for about $45 (had a bunch of other scrap thrown on the trailer, so I don't know what the carcass weighed.)
Out of curiosity, what is the point of the sheath for the leatherman? Asking out of ignorance of course. It looks nice.
Yes, you have irritated me because you are irritating, largely by attempting peer-level familiarity with adults while entirely (possibly intentionally) missing the point. Perhaps you think you are merely being cheeky, but from a child it translates as exceedingly poor manners. This is quite common around here with minors, where in-person social feedback mechanisms are somewhat lacking.

Just keeps the anodizing from getting scuffed/chipped. Not really necessary, but I'm a picky old bastard.
Not trying to be cheeky, rude, or whatever else you can come up with, but you're certainly not helping the status of my respect for you by acting like a holier-than-thou smart aleck who can't find anything else to do than argue with a child using diaper "insults".That said, you make some nice looking knives.
Have a nice day.
Speaking from a child's point if view, I can see where noswad is coming from, very few places, especially in this "hobby" for lack of a better term, treat children like they know what they are talking about. So when we get to a community like this, where in many ways we are treated like equals, it's easy to get comfortable, but unfortuantly, I have found that many things the that we find common place and acceptable do infact come across as annoying 9 times out of 10, especially with you old curmudgeons![]()
So I see your point as well daize, my general rule of thumb is if you act like an adult, you will be treated like an adult. When you get to a certain age a lot of the things we do stop becoming funny, and "cute and start becoming stupid annoying crap. I like to think that I come across as a contributing member of this community instead of an annoying kid that gets on people's nerves. That's just my two cents
And I'm not talking about just you noswad, I just used this instance as an example. I've have done and said some pretty stupid things on this forum, as I'm sure most of you have as well
This is why he's calling you a child. more times than not, it's better to back out and stop arguing for arguments sake, and stop acting like a smartaleck.
