...I've been considering shaving my head and leaving the beard. Anyone sporting that look?
Obadiah Stane.
And probably those 2 guys from ZZ Top, if they'd ever take off their hats.

The lack of full beard must be why I'm a machete guy.![]()
No, I think that's just a lack of balls!
(PS: Nothing but respect for you, Brother!)
Is it too late to chime in with an "Aye" for the beard call and a "Yae" for Reckless Kelly?
Red bearded Norwegian, Irish, Alaskan teaching History in the sticks of Alaska!
Oh yeah... guns and fish poles are good too
I say, old boy, but those sounds like fighting words!

This is not the shoot out I thought it was going to be
On a side note I just received a GB Felling Axe, the top of the blade was at 12 O'clock and the bottom of the blade was twisted to the 5 O'clock position.
It's going back, good news the replacement is already on the way.
Waiting on a John Neeman![]()
I'm thinking Operator might have this finished by Christmas...Merry Christmas everyone (especially bearhunter):

nothings gone "down hill", just watin' on you...I see this road has gone straight down hill.
Weather permitting this all goes down next weekend. 2 day test. Photos gallore. No looks, grain structure, etc. All about work.
The GB I have is on shorter handle - 32 I think - I will have to remeasure. It feels good and looks good. The BD is of course 36 in handle.
I will do felling, bucking, splitting, and misc tasks, and yes that means I will beat the shat out of the poll to see what happens. I have some metal pipe that needs pounded into the ground for stakes around my fruit trees - that should work well.
See what happens.
Let the beard growing commence. I will have to shave my goat off though to get stuff evened up. When I grow a beard I look like the Nicholson from The Shining - right before he loses it.
