You know, I was wondering if comments would go sideways on that post. Then my next thought was I am going to need more play money for the upcoming releases.

I don't think you did anything wrong. Like you said, the people working at the KAI booths are professionals, and should be treated as such.
By the way- here's a link to the thread Jimmer's talking about, in case anyone's curious. I think it's the most in-depth review of the ZT booth yet. Definitely worth watching for any Kershaw/ZT fans.

Ouch, why go with stainless steel on the 0566?

Price. It's been mentioned many times. No one freaked out when the 0350 was a steel linerlock instead of Ti like the 0301. I don't understand how this is any different.

I keep thinking the same thing. Same people who are good with a steel liner lock are not ok with a steel frame lock???

It was really nice to see the knives side by side with comparable knives. It is much easier to get an idea of what I knife may be like in hand from video than from pictures alone. The video certainly has me even more excited for the new knives! I believe SHOT has a no camera or video policy and I was worried we would miss out this year.

It is going to be another expensive year!

I wanted to point out earlier but I forgot, for those interested in the sheaths for the camp series look back at that second video. A good shot of the camp 14 I believe with the sheath.

Upon re-reading what I wrote, I realize it was inappropriate. I feel like a douche now, my sincerest apologies.

I saw my comment got edited and had to think what I said and I ment no offence. My comment was actually a reply to chester (just forgot to hit that reply thing still a newb sorry) about his girl wanting a Tilt sorry about the confusion and I ment no disrespect please keep up the good work!!

Man...I get busy for a day and miss the important stuff. But, for those that have any doubts about how to read Jimmer5's comment, I read it with no knowledge of the situation. It is very professional, courteous and could even be seen as complimentary to whomever posted the offending posts. That is a great example of not just a good moderator, but a great customer service person.

Just to take a swag....someone had a video of a Kershaw employee at the SHOT show (most likely female) that others took the opportunity to act like the wolves in the Looney Tunes cartoons. (You old guys like me know what I am talking about)

I don't think I am wrong. Just like I tell my teenagers... "Your Grandmother might be reading what you post."

If people are complaining about price, there's a bunch of kershaw models at a decent rate for purchase. I always thought of the ZT line as their luxury line. A steel frame lock is going to add too much weight while gaining nothing in return, as the blade is even smaller than the 0560/61.

It's a deal breaker for me, but I'm sure they might sell a lot of them.

There was a female in that video!?!? JK! Seriously, she did a fantastic job of representing some pretty exciting new products. I, for one, am kind of glad that the new stuff won't be available for a few more months; after Dave's Black Friday and blem sales, I need time to build up funds for all that I want to aquire!

I'm sure this will meet with much criticism but I think it needs to be said. Based on what is posted both in conversations and with photos (let's call it what it is...porn) in the Pirate's Cove forum, I'm not surprised that less than respectful comments came from some members. The presence of that forum, the level of conversation that is approved of and encouraged (BF mods regularly participate there, not to mention ThomasW) has a degrading effect on the conversation tone and content on every forum here on BF.

You could make the argument that this effect is mitigated by the fact that you must be a paid member to gain access to the "Cove" however given that a fairly high percentage of participants here are paid members in order to post in the sales forums, I don't there there's much merit in such an argument.

The posting rules are clear. Every member is responsible for the content of their posts. It is just that simple. Blaming content from other sections of this site isn't going to cut it.

Exactly. The 0350 was the smaller AND more budget friendly 0300. The new 0566 is going to fill the EXACT SAME role for the 0560. They both utilize steel instead of Ti for their lock and have less intricate handle milling.

Based on the incident which triggered this thread, I would respectfully suggest that the rules aren't cutting it. Rules or no, I think the presence of the Pirates Cove and what's standard operating procedure there drags down the rest of the neighborhood. Again, simply my opinion.

The rules are cutting it just fine. We could have only knife specific forums here and we would still have inappropriate posts. You see this all the time with members who don't have access to the more saucy areas of the site. What's to blame for their inappropriate posts? The internet as a whole? Either way, if you have suggestions to make the site better this isn't the thread to voice them. Tech Support is the correct place.
