Communication issue resolved !

marlington22, how did you try to contact a moderator? Just by posting in this thread? Moderators don't scan every thread every day. By chance, I was reading this. I don't jump in and do something until I've read the whole thread to see what happened.

Best way to get our attention is to go to the lower right corner of a post and click on the small triangle icon. That's the Report Post symbol, and it will open a dialog box for you to tell us what's up. But I'll see what I can do now.

Are you talking about the circle with the > in it ? Nothing happens when I hit the triangle

It's the triangle with the exclamation point in it. It should open up a dialogue box. I'm not sure why it won't for you.

He's using tapatalk. I also use tapatalk and don't see any of the symbols you guys are describing.

OP: I haven't posted on here in a long time but I felt compelled to share this:

In 2012, my house burned down and I lost everything. Including my phone. When I replaced it I had to remember what accounts I had on my phone. I can also say that remembering that I had bid and won a vintage Kabar on eBay and needed to send payment was the last thing on my mind.

Eventually, I was able to rectify the issue with the seller who was very understanding. As it relates to this forum, an Old Timer (96OT) I bought for my father with my first paycheck when I started working at 16 was seemingly lost in that fire. It had sentimental value to myself and my old man. I wanted to see if it could be restored and that's how I found out about BF. A member here was kind enough to offer to repair it. We agreed that I would pay for the restoration but he ended up doing it for free and it was beautiful work. I feel confident saying that the members here care more about each other and their fellow human being than they do about dollars and cents.

The message I am trying to convey is that you don't know why the seller hasn't respond and you don't know for sure if he has been on the forums. It seems that no one has spoken to him so no one really knows if he is even okay. There may be a bigger picture here that has yet to be seen. Please be patient and understanding. We need more of that in this world.
