Now, when you get a knife like this, for the working guy it's a bit expensive, so, you think long and hard before you take that edge to a sharpening system, at least I did tonight

while it arrived fairly sharp, it could be sharper, most knives do arrive in this condition so not a big surprise or problem, as most folks will 'Tune' their knife to their own way of sharpening.
BUT, it still gives one pause, several actually

before attempting to re-do anything on such a folder. But, I went ahead and setup the EdgePro and went about evening up the bevels, while they were mostly even, you can see some undulation along the flats, so with heart and wallet in hand, I taped the knife up and started right in. I used the magic marker trick to set my angle to match the ones that CRK put on, just needed slight finishing was all. Those of you that have an EdgePro or any system for that matter or even Free hand sharpening, the magic marker is pretty handy to see if you are rubbing that bevel in the way you really want to, a tip I just found, actually on a WickedEdge video, those look pretty nice too but I hadn't heard of them before getting the EdgePro, but their tip was to use one of the big magic markers and to not try painting the edge, BUT to just stick the the tip of the marker straight down on the edge, it'll cut into the felt tip slightly and will provide a nice even line on both sides at the same time, I'm not that good at painting in the lines anymore and this was a great tip for me!
SO, how did it come out? beautiful and really really sharp, bevel is about as wide as what it arrived at, but now it's all in one even plane from heel to tip, cuts great, makes me smile...and I did breathe a sigh of relief when it was over, always get nervous sharpening as anything can happen. The nice thing with the edge pro is as you get to the tip, just let the stone continue on and out, it will make sharpening that point very easy and clean, pointy is good
