Recommendation? Concealed Fixed Blade EDC

Please let me know if I'm wrong you want an edc blade not just tactical
So all the tdi, azeria, and purely tactical knives are out?
No, looking for what fits the bill except a decorative knife with a super shiny blade and stag handle with ornaments and the likes.

One of the things that I am looking for is an solid sheath with an adjustable belt club for cant ect.

The Armatus sheath that I mentioned is like that of most reputable Kydex sheath Manufacturers. In other words, it will accept several different mounting options...Tek-Lok, UltiClip, beta/soft loops, etc.

I have a Buddy who carries his Bradford G3.5 (*in an Armatus "Architect") in the manner that you preferred. He uses the 3.3 UltiClip. 🤷‍♂️

Ok think after a lot of copy and pasting names of knives I’m looking hard between a Tops CAT and the Tops Cut 4.0 with an Armatus sheath that Alone recommended. Does anyone make aftermarket handles for the Cut 4.0?

I also want to thank everyone for the support and replies as I have scoured them over.

CRKT S.P.E.W Not to impress chicks or BF members, and made "over there", but meets your specs.

Remember that there are people who can make a sheath if you find a knife you love but don't love the sheath. I like RK Custom Kydex for this. With good hole spacing on kydex, you also get a bunch of different hardware choices and mounting options.

I'll also second Alone Alone on the Armatus sheaths. I have one for my Bradford Guardian 3.5 and it's a big improvement over either of the sheath choices offered by Bradford.

I don't know how you feel about Buck, but the 119 is a good all purpose knife. It doesn't have the adjustable belt loops, but still a good knife.

Bantang, J.Watson, Winkler Contingency, Spyderco / Perrin Street Beat needs sheath upgrade, Stroup has some solid offerings, and my current AIWB fixed edc - a David Mary David Mary custom.
Big fan of fixed blade at all times after getting into Shivworks coursework a few years ago; guns get stripped in a clinch more often than you would think.

I have never really given too much thought to the edged weapon aspect of EDC.

Are you looking for a weapon or a tool? Anything can be used as a weapon, but if the knife is gonna play that role then get one that makes the most sense.

If the fight has gone beyond guns and is arms length and you need a knife, first off, you’re in a really bad situation. Second, you want a knife that is completely ambidextrous. Not something with an edge that faces one way, or a handle that’s comfortable only in one hand.

Look at a completely symmetrical dagger, something you can grab with either hand and have the same grip. If you’re in grappling distance, you can’t rely on having one specific hand available to grab your knife. That’s just not how reality works.

Otherwise, if you just want an edc knife that will be used for cutting chores, you have a million options and everything I said is irrelevant...

It’s funny you mention, “tactical.” To me a tactical blade is one carried outside the waistband in a kydex sheath on a gun belt or assault rig. Usually a 6-8 inch blade partially serrated d blade. Is that term, tactical in this community open to interpretation or is it by its use?

Use. A knife for shanking people.

Indeed I am friend; love the profile, very well rounded. I never was comfortable with something so task focused like a Clinch Pick, I need to be able to use it as knife since that is going to be the case 99.9% of the time & the Prevail covers my entire spectrum.

Do you have a photo of it you could share with us?

I can't imagine you get a lot of people thinking you're an easy mark at 6'5"/270lbs, unless they have a rifle/shotgun or you get swarmed. I'm just a wee lad of 6'2"/235lbs and I've never been in a fight with just one person. You might want to consider a 26" telescopic steel stick (check your local listings for legality). Used correctly, it would give you a much better chance at breaking through multiple attackers and less legal/deadly force escalation than a knife. Another factor is that unless you're a sociopath or an experienced fighter, your societal Judaeo-Christian values will likely cause you to hesitate when the moment comes to use deadly force, even if it's necessary to protect you and yours. Smacking someone's extremities with a stick on the other hand is surprisingly easy for your morality to accept, when it comes to those who would do you harm.

I just recently purchased s Lionsteel M5, they have a couple different blades in that sub-5" category. Their leather sheaths are quality, and some of their smaller options like the m2m, h1, h2, already have horizontal carry as an option, or you can get one of the larger ones (like the m5 or t5) and get a horizontal or cross draw sheath for it...

I also have a TOPS coyote blue, which has a pivoting kydex sheath which can be carried cross draw or horizontal.
