I got two of the 1st gen Golok from Knifecenter. They required work to get them working well. I thinned the edges and the handles. Now I like them.
I was looking forward to getting the sheaths.
They came from Knifecenter today.
Unfortunately, they don't fit. Not even close. For some reason Condor sewed a layer of leather inside the sheath. And the opening is too small.

Wtf??

Wonder what they were thinking.....

That sucks man...

Anyone else having this problem???

I also got the carbon bolo and sheath. That sheath fits well! The handle on the bolo is thick and wide and a bit too big for my medium sized hands. I think I can sand the plastic a good amount without affecting the mold. I'm going to try that although I've never sanded a plastic handle. The blade came sharp.

my sheath from KF is due today, i'll see if i have the same problem as you.

Disregard. I didn't understand original posting.

That totally sucks!

If the only problem was the rivets, I could remove them but the extra sheet of leather in the middle which appears to go all the way in, would require me to undo all of the stitching to cut it out. The opening right now is tiny.

Looks like they left a piece of the welt in there that shouldnt be.--KV

Exactly my thinking. If it were only a strip between the two rivets rather than that a complete thickness of leather [test by squishing] I'd just chase it out with a scalpel. But that sheath looks like it is for a totally different tool too. Given how baggy the sheath appears at the pointy end from those pics it looks like you might get away with slicing off the top half inch including the rivets. The sheath seems to widen a little just below that. You may get away with restitching the severed thread ends and popping a couple of smaller rivets in there.

By squeezing it and peering in with a flashlight, it appears to be just three layers of leather solid all the way down.

AF, have you contacted knifecenter about this? It's entirely possible they simply sent you the wrong sheaths.

Joe would know.

Hang on! I removed the rivets and now it fits. So I was wrong about it being solid.

It's still tough to get in there because it's too narrow. I dunno.

That's just not right, AF. Contact the seller and explain the problem. I'm not sure what they will do about it, now that you've removed the rivets, but you should contact them anyway. It may be a problem that they're unaware of, and you might prevent them from shipping the wrong sheath to someone else. It doesn't matter how much you paid for the sheaths: wrong is wrong.

Condor is going to have to go back to the drawing board on this one. Unless the gen 2 Golok is a different size. I don't think that's it though.
I haven't contacted anyone.
