Condor Golok

How do their knives compare to other popular models on the market using the more popular steels? I didn't give thier knives much thought before since I thought using 420 stainless on a survival type knife would be inferior, but I am really impressed with it in the machetes. Is there a link that anyone has to tests using their knives and/or comparing them to others?

The Condor line continues to impress me. I got them early on. I bought the multi-knife thing, combat machete, jungle bowie, 2 Inca knives, the El Salvador 18" in 420HC, the bolo in 420HC, the Puerto Rican 14" machete (Panga), and now the the golok in 1075 and a belt knife I don't know the name of. I have used the Inca knives a lot in the yard. Condor offers a lot for for the money, IMO.

hey HD, how is the combat machete? is it the real deal? looks like a fun, poor mans gladius if it's decent! ;)

I have the Combat machete, the Viking, and the Bush Knife (my fiancee has the knuckle-bow Hog Sticker! :D) and I can tell you that the Combat makes a great light-weight machete for when you're already carrying a lot of stuff! Because of the ambidextrous sheath style combined with the swiveling belt loop, you can carry it nearly anywhere on your belt and still be able to draw it conveniently with one hand. Chops pretty decently for something of its size, but don't expect to take out any trees with it! :D

First time I have ever tried uploading a pic on this website. Here are pics of my condors and the rest of my machetes

I would have to say that all of these machetes, I like the Condor Viking which is the longest their three. I have found that machetes with a rounded handle lets you cut with less effort since the machete can rotate in your hand. It makes a big difference. I like the cold steel bolo because of the handle also. The cold steel machetes chip really easy, but it doesn't seem to affect their cutting ability. I use an Accusharp tungsten carbide sharpener to sharpen my machetes and axes. It is very easy to use and works great.
