confusing trading experience

He didn't list it as a trade from what I read, it started as a trade in a trade thread, then went via email to this other fella trying to buy his knife after the trade didn't work out...none of that is an infraction or ban worthy according to the rules of the exchange.

Sounds like just a natural progression in the guy trying to get a knife from him, scam or not.

Hell no would I trade or sell to this fella.
 
thanks all for the clarification, & fyi, I did offer the second knife to be traded, & according to the buyer, he wanted to buy cause the knife has been traded
 
When a person tries to skirt the rules here by selling (and they are not at the membership level) or offering to buy (from a trader that does not have the membership level to sell here), those actions speak volumes about their character. Personally no deal is worth the dishonesty of those actions and I would run (not walk) away.
