Considering EDCing a Small Fixed Blade. Recommendations Needed.

Id love to see a little big bigger version with the new design. Bradford 4.5 or 5.5 would be awesome.
 
I'd definetly look at White-River's offerings :D I'd go Caper, best fixed-blade imo
 
For a thinner, slicier EDC blade (compared to Guardian 3), check out the Enzo Birk Necker. Less expensive, made in Finland, some steel choice, can buy as a kit {or just a blade} and customize your scales as to shape & material.
 
So many great choices. It's been fun looking at all the recomended brands.

I'm all about discreet horizontal carry.

I should prob do more research. But I'm getting anxious. Might pull the trigger today.

You can get the Guardian 3.5 (Just came out last Tuesday) in full flat grind also. Go directly to Bradfordknives.com and go to the 3.5 and you can choose what you want. and they will get it out the next day. Great people.
P.S The knife only comes in M390 for now.

If you go with one of the Guardians, check the Armatus web site for their horizontal kydex sheath. That's all I use anymore to carry my G3s. It's very easy to wear and to use.

Will do. Why don't you like the stock leather sheath?
 
^^ I like it OK, I just prefer being able to put on and remove the sheath without having to deal with my belt. The kydex is also a little thinner down the body than the leather sheath. And I like the "confident but not velcroed in" retention of the kydex sheath, especially in outdoor activities that might want firmer retention.
 
The first two sheaths (leather and Kydex) that came with the G3 did not have the tight retention that I prefer, towards the end of last year I wrote to Brad and mentioned it, he told me they had upgraded both types of the sheaths, after sending the others back he sent me two of the new upgraded sheaths which now have excellent tight retention.
Great customer service and superior communication skills.

Awesome collection. Is that the Nimbus blade finish on the Bradford?

And when did Bradford change to better sheaths? Would I be likely to get an upgraded sheath with my Bradford should I order a G3.5 this week?
 
If you order directly from Brad's web site you should get the latest of everything. And yes... that's Brad's "Nimbus" finish 3 posts up. He also does a DLC coating that's jet black, but the Nimbus looks better to me if I wasn't getting a stonewashed finish (my fav).

Yes Nimbus.
I'm positive anything ordered from Dec. 25 2017 through now will include the updated/upgraded sheaths both his leather one and his Kydex one.
 
The nimbus finish looks nice. But the stone wash finish is what I think I want. I was going to order from GPK but to ensure I get the updated sheath design , I think I'll order straight from Bradford.
 
I used to carry a 3V G3 IWB just to the right of the belt buckle. I repurposed a CompTac pistol holster clip to keep it on the belt and the moleskin helps reduce hot spot when you are carrying for long days/nights.

Anyway, I would highly recommend it for an EDC.

The Carothers is my edc, but with a different horizontal sheath than in your pic. If you can get one at the manufacturer sale price, it is well under the $300 cap. Very discreet and tough to beat for everyday tasks, IMO. Only issue is that the OP specified stainless, and 3V isn't quite stainless.
 
The Dozier Modified Personal is well within your budget. D2 isn't exactly stainless; but it's one heck of a knife.
