CONTEST!!!!! . . . Win A $1,000.00 Shop Credit And A Free Limited Edition Blade!!!

"name of one of the most anticipated Limited Editions to come out of the Busse Combat Shop. . . . "

is it the "Busse Folder"?

in the muscle car thread "Love 1968 Chevelles."

from the Drink Recipe
16 Ounces Rye Whiskey
6 Ounces Lemon Juice
6 Ounces Orange Juice
8 Teaspoons of Granadine

now if one was to get tricky here and use the 9 from the Date 1968 and flip/fold it around it would become a 6 and match the first letters(1668) from the Drink Recipe once folded.

Limited Edition Son Of Badger with Nuclear Meltdown Treatment

Looking wiTHIN your posts "Went to the race track with my brother this past summer. . . ." has the code. It's right there taunting us not hard to find. Moving over to your website I noticed The Son Of Badger product description mentions a lot of car talk linking the two (as well as the post and description both having just one ?). So now I'm thinking some kind of Limited release of the SOB maybe with the Nuclear Treatment from the "final nursery rhyme"

On to my next try same thinking as above with a twist; LE SOAB (The Son Of Anorexic Badger) Anorexic coming from the "thin" note and going back up to a 1/4 thick cause his parent(s) is too skinny!

I found it strange that the phrase "big dashes" was used in the story below about the muscle cars- leading me to think that this refers to a BIG (Busse Industrial Grade) Anniversary Steel Heart (from the ASH in dASHes, and in the word Grasshopper). In the story, the 1/4 mile runs, I believe, refers to a 1/4 INCH blade, which is THINner (Look wiTHIN) than some of the previous models. The 1/4 and 1/8 are both mentioned, but favor is always given to the 1/4 mile runs, or as I believe it to be- the 1/4 inch blade. So- here are a few guesses, with the limited edition coming from the contest post stating it would be a limited edition, then also the 1/4 and 1/8 miLE "dashes" referred to below as well.

BIG Anniversary Steel Heart Limited Edition, 1/4" thick- BIG ASH LE

or

BIG Anniversary Straight-Handled Steel Heart Limited Edition, 1/4" thick. BIG ASSH LE (this guess based on the GrASSHopper clarification in the later post, signifying the straight-handle)

Went to the race track with my brother this past summer. . . .

Dan and I are muscle car aficionados. Love 1968 Chevelles. Best lines of any muscle car ever made in my opinion. We owned 2 of them when we were in our teens.

Both had 327 small block V-8s with 400 turbo trans and 12 bolt rear ends. One had a 370 rear gear and the other ran a 456 gear that redlined in seconds!

We went to the Milan, Michigan drag strip this past summer to watch the 1/4 mile runs.

Lots of horsepower ripping up the track. We had not been there in the past 30 years. They now have 1/8 mile dashes which I thought were awesome!

Although he loves the 1/4 mile runs, my brother said fast sprints, coincidentally, like the big 1/8 mile dashes are not his favorite.

When asked about their overwhelming popularity, he did agree that nearly every time, big dashes bolster attendance and help to keep the sport alive.

It does seem like the 1/8 mile runs are practically over before they start.

Any other muscle car nuts out there?

Let's drink!!!

For the same reasons as mentioned previously, my other guesses are:

BIG Anniversary Straight-Handled Steel Heart LE, 1/4" but I'm adding in the Nuclear Meltdown treatment from the Nursery Rhyme (sounds like the world after a nuclear melt down) post to this, and with all the 8 references, the blade would be 8" for these.

Busse Industrial Grade Nuclear Meltdown Anniversary Straight-Handled Steel Heart LE , 1/4"

BIG NMASSHLE

or

Busse Industrial Grade Nuclear Meltdown Anniversary Steel Heart LE , 1/4"

BIG NMASHLE

Or Buses Industrial grade anorexic (1/8") nuclear meltdown anniversary steel heart. Guessing 8 inch blade to make the dinosaur happy

Anorexic (1/8 mile dash that Dan dislikes--how many 1/8" blades have come out of the Yard?) nmshash (nuclear meltdown from the poem or 'better than corN" would be 'MASH'--corNMASH, straight-handled anniversary steelheart--look within grASSHopper. It will be an eight inch blade

Or

Anorexic NMSHASHLB--expanded series or whatever that quote was AND the weight is a almost over--Light Brigade!

Or just take out the straight handle for an Anorexic NMASHLB IN 1/8" INFI

Make that a Buses Industrial Grade Anorexic Nuclear Meltdown Anniversary Steel
heart Light Brigade in an 8" blade. Or the BIGANMASHLB in an 8" package.

Or the BIGANMSHASHLB with a straight handle as well for good measure

Or the BIGANMB8LB but that seems almost silly...

Squirrel for the win!

With all of this critical thinking going on, I feel like I'm reading some crazy version of the DaVinci Code .

:D

keeping it simple for my guess..
BIG ASH

Is the knifes acronym and answer: muscLE?

from the contest infomation this part tells me we are looking for Limited Edition in the name acronym
"Somewhere, in a hidden code, in a post that I have made in the past few weeks on this forum, is the name of one of the most anticipated Limited Editions to come out of the Busse Combat Shop. . . ."

The word muscLE than stuck out in the muscle car thread to me.
"Dan and I are muscle car aficionados."

Than in another post I see this "I had a 1970 Maverick for my first car. . . . . . NOT a muscle car, but Cragar SS rims and Goodyear Polyglass raised white lettered 50s fooled a lot of people!"

Post 2/12/15 @ 9:39AM OOOPS????? I could have had a ......... ?????) (Answer V8) Custom Varient LE/8 in blade, Cheers!

The answer lies within = heart
grasshopper contains the letters
  • Hog
  • a for anorexic
    and
  • Ash = anniversary steel heart which was a big blade for Busse hence = expansion :D

V8 = 8 years later. ASH came out in 2007 - 2015 = 8 years ago

I'm going with Big ASH

HOG ASH .327

ASH 1/4

Anorexic ASH 1/8

All in big finish ash :) mmmmmmmmm

Something better then corn... mash?

Mother of all anniversary steel heart!
