Ok so let me try too.
We have :
- One post about different SWAT teams (Jerry, Garth... SWAT competition - How'd you guys do?!?!?).
It gives me something like a Special Force edition
- One post about muscle cars (Went to the race track with my brother this past summer. . . .).
Jerry speaking about his old Maverick slow as mud. So MUD edition right ?
- One post about V8 beverage (Oops!!!. . . I Could've Had A . . . . ???? . . . . What????? . . .) "Should've had a V8" being their slogan.
They issued a V8-Fusion special edition. Speaks for itself... Fusion edition
- One poem (The Final Nursery Rhyme. . . . .) ending with "For from dust to dust" which is taken from the book of common prayer and is usually preceded by "Ashes to ashes" ---> ASH right ?
- One post with multiple hints (Finally . . . . . Something Better Than Corn. . . . . Huh????) really tricky and can go so many ways... (First tried to use Barleycorn as unit (1 = 1/3") to reveal the blade measurement with the different recipes of the cocktails...)
i) The grasshopper can be a cocktail but is also a Special edition Beer from Big Rock Brewery. Big finish then...
ii) The Aboctosaurus. Ok the typo (Abrictosaurus) gives octo (8) as in octopus (8 legs) as in octo cocktail but I think there is more to this since He
p) could have replaced only the 'i' without reeplacing the 'r'.. lets say this is for 8" blade.
iii) The weight tipo refers to the cocktail post (Excellent Drink Recipe!) which contains the recipe for 8 Ward8 cocktails and 1 Ward8 is 1/8 of the drink recipe hence 1/8" blade thickness
It gives us ASH SF MUD Fusion Big finish 8" blade, thickness 0.32"

you mention grasshopper and looking within alot, it reminds me of an old show i watch with my uncle larry called kung fu, so i started thinking about asain stuff.
you said "It became one of the best selling expansions . . . ." and i thought about the far east expansion for torchlight. It added a class to the game called the Kensei Class.
my guess is an American Kensei 47 LE.

If I listed every time Jerry writes "let's drink!" and the clue in the opening paragraph about easy to find if you drink enough- I think I was on the right track with BARF, but maybe it's Hang Over?

Looking within Grasshopper and using the code 16, 6, 6, 8, by counting from G through r in grasshopper using all of those numbers in sequence I get the letters SRHA
Possibly HOG SAR? Possibly 8" blade
Or just Heavy SAR?

Not sure if I am doing this right.... but perhaps it has to do something with the Busse Knife that Daryl uses on 'The Walking Dead'?

'Lies within grasshopper' - on 'The Walking Dead' forums, a member named 'Grasshoper' posted about Daryl's knife recently...(that is a stretch)
"It became one of the best selling expansions" .... perhaps it got a lot more popularity after being featured and became 'best selling'
Mentioning beer/booze....there was an episode I believe where there was a 'beer' run (not recent though)
'Weight' could be for pounds (lb) which could be in secret reference to the 'light brigade'

My guess would be something to do with the 'Team Gemini'

The contest ends in 48 hours from yesterday which would end it on... Valentines day....

'Terrorfying' and talk about monkeys could be something to do with the Desert Storm Fighter- Terror Monkey which had a blade length of eight inches, so "Aboctosaurus" and "weight"
Edit: not exactly 48 hours but if you end the contest on the 14th at 5 o'clock it would be the same 'weight' as the Desert Storm Fighter- Terror Monkey which without sheath is listed at 14.5 oz.
