Convince me to buy a BK4

I can't convince you to buy a bk4 with mere words, but this should do it:

Get one and love it!

I agree, my 4 gets much more use than my 9. But I'm not giving the 9 away.... ;-)

The 4 is a smaller, lighter, more streamlined (and finicky, but in a good way once you get used to it) version of the 9 in many ways. It is my go-to woods knife.

Here, I'll be helpful with a flow chart

This flow chart works well with any and all Becker knives.
That's some heavy duty flow charting there. I'm glad you were able to do the math because before now, it totally had me stumped. Now, I am armed with mathematical proof.

I've given up trying to figure which one to get.

I'm just gonna send Dex whatever's in my wallet on Fridays and let him surprise me.

Personally, I think if this doesn't do it for you....

....you don't need one. :D

I'm getting into the Machax spirit thanks to everyone's inputs. Going thru the penny jars and shaking down the couches now. Must get Machex....

REJOICE, I'm getting one for Christmas thanks to my wife who had to put up with me staring at that campfire photo of the Machax and mumbling. Thanks for the support; that way easy! I have to admit; it was hard to argue with that Spock logic as well.

I'm so stoked!!! Can't concentrate.

A color print of that campfire photo is on my desk. Now, if I could just find time to do more of that......

I've not heard that the BK4 is being deep-sixed. It's a great knife, I own a few variants. As far as chopping, I prefer the 9. The BK4 Is one of the most recognizable blades ever. It's a great all around tool.

Whoaa... All of these comments about people using their 4's more than their 9's... that is surprising. Isn't the 9 the "King"?

Full disclosure: I don't own a 4.
