Convince me to buy a BK4

I'm not starting that holy war; just looking forward to using that bk4. The King and kukri are on my list next year; used up my fun money this year....

I just convinced myself to order a 4 and another 15. Those sale prices are just too good. I'm guessing I'll have two 4s by Christmas, and the new 15 may be a gift if I decide not to give up the 16. No body say $h!t to the hen about this. :D

I am sorry but I cannot convince myself nor anyone to buy a 4. Personally I think the 4 is the ugliest knife I laid eyes on. It may be very functional but........

I will buy a 9 before a 4 and the 9 is not the most appealing to me either. I rather see a long 2 instead with nice flowing curves.

That's exactly what the hen said, "it's ugly..." The 4 is just like the 5 being unappealing to most people until you get one in your hand. And brother, if you prefer a 2 over a 9... you need more Becker experience. Lol. There's a reason the 9 reins as king. Get yourself a 9, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

The 4 is a sweet knife & a great buy at current prices.
Great design & chops like a champ---I used mine to cut some shooting lanes this year..Very efficient!

Ah.......but you didn't quite read the entire sentence. I said I rather have a "looooooonnnnnggg" 2. You see the 2 has a very nice curvy drop point. The 9 has a rather abrupt drop point. I just want a 2 the same length as a 9.

That doesn't exist and never will, though. Buy a 9 and grind it to what you want. Nothing bites like a 9.

I used to want something just like that actually (essentially a giant 2), but I honestly don't think I want something like that anymore. The shape, yes, but I'm "over" 1/4in thick blades for my normal woods use. 3/16 does everything just great actually.

Although I guess I'm in the minority here, I still haven't sprung for a BK4, and honestly the 9 doesn't leave me wanting at all.

But I still want to know if the OP got one :D.
 
OK, I've never tried a BK4. I will say that everybody needs some form of kukri, and that looks like a pretty darned good one, and affordable. So if you don't have any kind of kukri-sized and kukri-style knife, then you may as well get that one.

I tell people "Handles like a machete, chops like a hatchet."
