Instead of regrinding I will just live with the looks of the 9. It is not too bad. However I cannot bring myself to get a 4 in my collection. The 9 is in my wish list to collect next.

Sounds like a plan. Still, if you get the chance to handle a 4 you'll want one. Mark my wards... the 9 will replace your other knives. Well... actually that's what E told me. Turned out to be true.

I am almost certain the 4 is a well performing tool. I just have a hard time looking at it. ;)
 
Well I think she's beautiful. Especially stripped with Micarta and with the clip rounded off.

But hey, what do I know? lol

Did I mention how good she feels in your hand when you're beating on wood?
 
if I am only allowed one blade its going to be a kukri. chopper cutter and thrower. doesn't get more versatile.
 
I had thought of a bk2 and bk9 lovechild also. Very recently in fact. I'm certainly happy to find that I'm not the only Becker BKT junkie out there. There's also just something about the 4 tthat says: "NEED MEEEEEEEEEE". HA. And having read the reviews- seeing what its capable of after a bit of attention to the edge, I can't help but listen.... A new 5 is in my list also.... I may be able to quit this nasty habit then

you've seen the prices on the classic BK4 MachAxen? esp the chrome ones? wow. though i do love me the second generation in black phosphate :D
 
Actually the only place I've seen them is while trolling the Amazon river. They're pretty easy on the wallet bait, too. But, their population is low. Only 12 left in the waters.
