A sweet knife for jeans or a black tie affair. Very well conceived Will.
It’s a fine Friday morning here. The fog is burning off…still misty. I’m drinking a big cup of coffee sitting out back with my cat and I am enjoying pondering these two fine examples of Cosimo’s art.

Beautiful design Kurt. Everything looks well proportioned. The bolster and jigging are a perfect match.Hey Steve. This morning I got some pictures from Cosimo of a Eureka Jack he is getting ready to send on its way. It sure came out great. I especially like the curves. And the bolster treatment is well…check it out. Thanks for the pic Cosimo.

Blew the doors off with that one ! Eureka is an old and rather rare pattern, the GEC version is a superb knife, I don't go for the CASE/Bose interpretation so much as it's a bit weedy to my eye . But this one is a wonderful rendering, curves, pin work , the secondary Wharncliffe instead of Coping ,and you know, that bolster is the right oneHey Steve. Thanks Will and I agree with your thoughts on the Case/Bose and the GEC. The GEC just has more eye appeal to me. Just a smidgen more curve here and there make a big difference especially on knivesBlew the doors off with that one ! I get the feeling his order book is about to enlarge, this pattern will also look good in Smooth Bone or Woods
Congratulations to both of you, great 'moment'![]()
Just saw your post Ray. The lamb and barlow have half stops. I assume the Eureka does too. I like the action on them. Subjective, but I’d say a good 8.Are all these examples on this page set up with a 1/2 stop?
From my experience with Cosimo, he will work with you. I am sure he would eliminate the half stop if requested.OK thanks. That's a deal breaker for me. 1/2 stops with a sharp blade(s) is a bleed waiting to happen, in my experience.
Maybe I'm a klutz.I
Nice threading on that bolster. I have a Stan Shaw with a threaded bolster, and saw him make them a few timesHey Steve.
