could it be possible Microtech changed the looks of the ZT 0777 clone?

Oh, the Matrix has been released to a few places. My local shop actually got 6 of them. They are nice, but not nearly as nice as the 777 I held at blade.

Strange.. I think there has to be something going on here that we don't know.
I dont see how or why Microtech would copy the knife so blatantly. Knife companies competing in that price range have no excuse to copy like that... this isn't china. or sog.

I don't really care for ZT or Microtech, but it looks like Microtech is running with that design of knife while ZT still hasn't put one in the market yet. I can't see why Kershaw can't put their original designs out faster?? 1st to bring a unique product idea to the market wins. Imagine Nike has a shoe idea, shows it off at a trade show and then delays its production while Adiddas and Reebok gets their version into production first? Facebook did the same thing. Even after any lawsuits, they still are the winner in the end.

I don't really have an "on-topic" comment.I never been into Microtechs.
This video was outstanding. I have excellent gun dealers in central Pa. but they won't stock knives anywhere near that extent.

Yes, FASTER. How can a company copy a design and bring it out significantly faster to market than the company that originally made the design to begin with?? And this was made by another USA company, not China with poor work place laws. ZT would have already had a time advantage to start with?? Its a reasonable question.

Its not a weak stance. Its a real legitimate question. "How can Microtech bring a product to market faster than ZT when they copied the design from ZT and are both produced in the USA??? I can see working for ZT might have you a bit jaded on the subject but dismissing it doesnt exactly make it go away. I can make a guess as to what the answer is ....but I would like to know ZT's official answer. I am sure this question should have been, or at least better have been, asked internally. I cant possibly be the first person on the forum that ask this??? An answer like "ZT was totally blind sided and never saw it coming" is a perfectly acceptable answerer if thats what happened. I am trying to piece this event together.
