Could There Be..a Forum Buck ?

Here you are. This is kinda fun messing around with photo editing software.

That looks good Mutt - like the color combination too. How about laser engraving the wood handle as an option? I used to see Buck 110 award knives like this one. OH

That one looks pretty good to me... Even a emblem like on the 50th Anniversary 110... butt bigger... nickel silver blue handles and s30v blade...

Would a special tang stamp be out of the question...just wondering? Preston

I don't think it would be out of the question. I am going to contact both Buck and the Owner of this forum to clear this idea of a BladeForum knife and see if they'll give us access to and permission to use their logos, if that is what the final design calls for.

I would definitely be interested in this, but I'm not sure how I feel about the big logo on the handles whether it be a simple logo or shield. I've always disliked the 50th anniversary 110s for this exact reason. I think a nice tang stamp would be sufficient. It would be subtle as to not detract from the over all looks but still be clearly visible.
I hope this project goes through, though.

I wouldn't be opposed to a jack. A nice clip and sheepsfoot jack with micarta slabs in an upgraded steel would be sweet!

For those not familiar with the annual traditional forum knives here is a quick pic of the two I have. A Canal Stree serpentine jack('15) and a GEC harness jack('16).

And the previously mentioned tang stamps

Awesome, I hope they give the thumbs up and enough interest is generated to come up with something.

Very interesting.

Thanks for posting the photos and your comments...even if one bladed the 'blade forum' tang stamp could be on one side the 'Buck USA' on the other.

I'm with you on logos, etc. on the handles. Preston

Wow that's awesome Wallace,

Can you cut and paste the handle from this knife below into your 110 image. If so, folks could see the knife configuration I'd like to have for the BF knife.

I hope we go through the poll spin-down. I'm not in the market for a 110 with any major commercial embellishment. I do like the tang marking on the two jacks posted above, they're tastefully done! Something similar to the BCCI tang stamp could be used in lieu of any handle shields, etching, or engraving; IMHO.

My other concerns are cost and whether anyone is profiting from this endeavor.

(I'm still voting to bring back the 700 series for this.)

Wallace Mutt, thanks for your efforts, hope you're enjoying doing it...as I am looking them. Preston

No problem, I'm learning as I go. I tried to do a vantage but it was aggravating me and gave up for now.
