No problem, I'm learning as I go. I tried to do a vantage but it was aggravating me and gave up for now.
I would definitely be interested in this, but I'm not sure how I feel about the big logo on the handles whether it be a simple logo or shield. I've always disliked the 50th anniversary 110s for this exact reason. I think a nice tang stamp would be sufficient. It would be subtle as to not detract from the over all looks but still be clearly visible.
I hope this project goes through, though....
I just had an email exchange with the owner of the bladeforum. He told me that dealers are not allowed to use the bladeforum name. So, as for SKBlades creating an official bladeforum knife that refers to the forums, it sounds like a no go. I can still do a forum specific knife like we are with our knife contest, but no where can it mention the bladeforums on the knife. Basically SKBlades could get a knife going for just you all in the Buck Forum but it would be unofficial and not be branded at all by bladeforum.
Any thoughts?
Thanks so much for your efforts on this project.
My thought, questions really, would be...how did others get theirs? Is this a new policy? Is it just that a dealer can't do the leg work? What if one member of our forum did the leg work? Preston
How, then, does the Traditional Knives subforum manage to get knives made with Bladeforums stamped on the tang?
Well as you may already know we have now answered this question and how it works. Technically, we COULD do a Buck BF knife. How, then, does the Traditional Knives subforum manage to get knives made with Bladeforums stamped on the tang?
If we were to be able to get this done, my vote would be for a 110 with a long pull and special steel.Well as you may already know we have now answered this question and how it works. Technically, we COULD do a Buck BF knife.
