This FF came from FortyTwoBlades with the handle quite blonde so I dyed it with coffee grounds to give a little character. The sheath is an experiment with a minimalist design and I played with double stitching it using two different colors.
It all worked out ok but I’ll do some things different next time.

It’s mainly for the kiddo to play with.

As i have noticed several different craftsman of leather make a mask or sheath...your leather work simply scorches the earth with detail, function and overall practical super supple looking axe bit protection.

No updates on the longer straight-handled version just yet, but I expect it'll be available the same time the longer Camp Carver is since they use the same eye/handles.

This was a great read, everyone. I’ve been putting my flying fox through the paces. Today I finally tore a blister while using my full size axe. I had to make two more logs out of an 8” diameter spruce, so I grabbed the flying fox and had at her. Going was obviously slower, but it’s such an effective chopper it wasn’t that much work to complete the task one handed.

I did get two hatchet handles from House Handles, an I’m worried the tongues won’t be big enough... I guess we’ll find out...

I got to use one of my 3 flying foxes this weekend they have held an edge great they are harder than alot of my other Hatchets. I will also say that it seems these are the absolute best throwing axes I have found. Stand about 15 ft away and I believe anyone can make these stick. My 10 year old niece and 8 year old nephew want to throw them everything they come over

To the best of my knowledge it's still planned, but got pushed back due to a few complications with logistics.
