Yes, everyone I agree with you 100%. Thank you so much. My blood is boiling. I should have been thinking more during this purchase. There are many reasons why folks use Ebay especially in high sales tax states.
Can anyone recommend a reputable seller and expected price to pay?
Thanks
Fair enough, but I'll wager that in hindsight right now, you'd rather be out another $10 worth of sales tax and have a REAL, potentially non-corroded Fallkniven F1, amiright?!?!

Hi Folks,
I purchased the F1 based on the many positive reviews. It's a great knife and I was able to take it with me to Costa Rica for 6 days brand new. We were down in the Osa Peninsula near Panama and the humidity is very very high. The Jungle surrounded much of the area. The knife was taken on a hike into Corcovado National Park and then up the Carate River for many miles. I used it only a few times and it remained mostly sheathed. We ran out of sunblock and I cut down palm leaves to make my girlfriend shoulder shades. Fairly easy task. I cut duct tape. I also batoned a piece of drift wood on the beach that was fairly dry. Stain-less literally means "stain less" which allows for the possibility of stain. Even so, after 6 days I was surprised to see that the finish of the knife rusted in the following condition. Your experiences?
Thanks

*UPDATE: This appears to be a fake / counterfeit Fallkniven F1. As over 30 days have gone since the purchase, I have little recourse here through Ebay or Paypal. Appreciate everyone's help on this.
Thanks folks. I just emailed Fallkniven with the photos asking about it's authenticity. I originally emailed them earlier without photos and claimed they are not 100% rust free. That's understood, however my Fallkniven F1 looks like it's been dunked into salt water for over a day.
Lesson learned. I called the seller's number however they're not picking up. I'm certain of who they are and their address, however unless I want to take a trip to Utah for a small claims court date, there is little recourse here. Trust the seller and check authenticity early upon receipt. I should have left it in water overnight the first day I received it.
Wow, people actually knock off knifes?
Tis the way of Ebay. There are so many fakes of many things on ebay now that I am hesitant to buy anything. I previously was a very regular ebay buyer. Have not purchased anything from there in a couple years.
I also don't worry about the sales tax things on online purchases. Even Amazon started collecting sales tax in my state.
I have not looked closely at the knife pictures, but I am trusting what others that are more knowledgeable than I am on such things. My F1 has the white Fallkniven handle on it (vs rubber or a Bark River custom handle). At the time I purchased it, it was one of my more expensive knives.
Just for anybody browsing this thread in the future, Fallkniven has a guide for spotting fakes:
