Covert open carry Large Tactical Folder, Neck Knife of Fixed Blade.

This thread is teetering... Pick your knife, get a clear kydex belt sheath. Maybe consider hanging a Victorinox off your keys with a carabiner. Moving wouldn't be a bad idea ofter 7 years and all. People are trying to help, but with so many conditions, exceptions, "oh and's", it's pretty damn hard to help. I would think it is fair to say the people participating are every bit as frustrated as you are, maybe even more so. Also, last time I checked, a belt sheath for a knife is not considered clothing, then again the folks in Richmond might be on "another level".

See and the way I read "open carry" for a folder, a tucked in shirt with the knife clipped inside the pocket would suffice... even with only a little bit of knife sticking out it's pretty easy to see what it is. But it sounds like Richmond folks all carry them clipped outside the pocket. I tried it once. Can't imagine seeing it every day as the regular mode of carry.

Agreed, I shutting this down... got one alternative from someone that read to post and responded to answer the posed question. That tells me what I need to know on all accounts. There not many alternative and most people here want to opine and call it "helping" rather than providing information. I am done!

Correction they don't. Only the ones that have been through Conceal Carry class, which doesn't apply to to knives where they where told the laws. The rest are most likely carrying illegal.

BTW thanks for the conversation ... I shutting this down as anything of value I have already gotten and the rest is digressing to resemble a adolescent spat rather than a discussion that will provide any value, and yep I take my share to the blame for that.

Goodnight

Interesting, thanks for clarification. What goes on in Richmond sure sounds confusing man.

This thread is like talking about a sling for a derringer or a trailer hitch for an Indy car. The OP doesn't know what he's looking for - how is anyone going to be able to help him - especially when you get treated like the above for trying?

I even made suggestions that fit the OP's as-written criteria and have been repeatedly insulted for my trouble. I don't understand why this poor behavior is being tolerated.

No I am just annoyed by you and your god complex that you think you can tell me what to own when it legal. Thank you for proving my point! Lets see you want to criminalize my choice and behavior when in fact I try obey the law. Typical of that kind of mindset. Again if it wasn't for people like you that are afraid of law abiding citizens we would not have had the joy of meeting! . No the inquiry was real as I have found one that meets the criteria and have another choice as well. The rant about these insane knife laws in VA where I have to carry my knife in the open when its a pocket knife is on the other post! BTW let me leave you with this tidbit " Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. This sense of the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, but have been used more widely. Media attention in recent years has equated trolling with online harassment. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families." Lets see you come on this post, don't give me any information, posted "extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community". Yep that some you up. I going to stop feeding you now.

Post of the year. Honestly. My hat's off to you. Nice Wikipedia cut and paste and really, and I mean this with all due respect, you've given us one of the best bits of performance art I've seen since alt.fan.karl-malden.nose.

So just for you, meow, meow, meow.

And yes, all posts are trolls.

I'm not entirely sure why you expect anyone to give help to a "nice" person such as yourself in the first place. We tried helping you but got berated for doing so. If there was a guy on the street with a sign asking for money, but was screaming insults at you when you went by, would you give him any money? Didn't think so.

LBTS I suppose.

you carried X brand knife for years, but you moved, times change, and laws vary from place to place.... so do what normal folks do and adapt. that's one thing us humans with complex thought are very good at. buy a legal knife *gasp* and just deal with it. I don't wanna hear about the "infringing on my god given rights" crap, because that's how it works when you live in a democratic society and not everyone agrees with one person's views.

im very pro-gun, in fact, I have a great big 2nd amendment tattoo, eagle and all, on my right forearm, yet I still had to jump thru the hoops many years ago to get my concealed carry permit. do I agree with all the paperwork and classes to be able to carry a gun? of course not, but sometimes you gotta buck up and do whats necessary....in your case, find a legal knife you like that wont cause you any grief. I know I damn sure am not willing to drag myself thru the legal system dealing with a "weapons charge" over a knife that in the eyes of the law is too big to carry.

theres plenty of "tactical knives" (whatever the hell that truly means anyway) out there would be legal in your area. now go ahead and call me a troll, say I am not being helpful, but I already suggested a perfectly fine "tactical" knife that would be legal in your area...the mini CQC-7. the next larger version is what, .3 of an inch larger?... and plenty of military and LE folks have used and abused them things for years and they seem very satisfied with that particular Emerson model.
