Sounds special ! How’s that price feel compared to you’re other 9 ? I’ll be keeping an eye out and interested in your other recommendations. Thank you !It's very nice. Smooth, lower proof. Vanilla nose and fruit and caramel finished. I usually grab a couple bottles a year of this one. One of my top 10.

I just took a screen shot of this list. It's worth the price to me. I paid retail. My favorites in no order are...
Buffalo Trace, Blanton's, Eagle Rare, Van Winkle 12, IW Harper 15, McKenna 10yr bottled in bond, Weller 12, Weller CYPB, Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel, and Angel's Envy.
I like wheated bourbon in general.
When McKenna is good it's fantastic but I've had a decent amount of variation from bottle to bottle. Picked up one recently for a gift, hoping it's one of the better ones. It's worth the price to me. I paid retail. My favorites in no order are...

I like it. It seemsI feel like I'm missing out.
Am I missing out? Is Makers Mark good whiskey?
I have two liters sitting unopened from years ago. is that good?
I didn't mean to come across as dismissive. It's more just current tastes and b.s. posturing. I've had Maker's plenty of times in the past and had nothing to complain about. These days I tend to go for less sweet options...but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at a Maker's.I like it. It seemsBlues does not. It is my go to if I’m going to have a mixed drink with bourbon. There is definitely better bourbon out there(and most definitely worse) but it’s an old familiar taste for me.I probably shouldn’t speak for Blues but at least we know he thinks it has no business calling itself Whisky without an e.
Not yet...Have you tried the Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength? I think you might enjoy it if you haven't. (Or the Quarter Cask.)
There are a lot of other places that spell it whisky, not just Scotland. Scotch is reserved for whisky made from Scotland. Even some American brands spell it without the "e", including Dickel and Old Forester. My understanding, and it may be wrong, is that "whisky" is reserved for single malt from Scotland...and I may well be wrong.
