I haven’t drank anything for going on 9 years, stopped after a bad fall and subsequently having my shoulder reconstructed knowing I’d be laid up for months and didn’t want to end up like Jabba the Hut, but do have this.

It was a present from a great friend for my 60th birthday a decade ago….

I have a recently purchased bottle of McKenna bottled-in-bond from the allocation table at our local ABC store. As well as a spicy bottle of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof.

The good stuff is always a pain to get here in western NC. Buddy is looking to grab me a bottle of Eagle Rare soonish.

I actually got the McKenna for a buddy of mine. When we did our tasting at Heaven Hill I liked the HH Bottled in Bond better. And its available more.

That HH BiB is a true banger! My neighborhood Irish Pub was so full of amateurs by 5pm today it was no fun. So I am home raiding the back of my fridge. This French cider (cidre) is dry and excellent with a green jigged bone Case medium stockman.
