As far as LA goes, we were there 1 1/2 weeks ago and the weather was fair but air quality and visibility were lacking…sadly due to the fires. I hope it’s improved and that you enjoy the trip. Meanwhile, we’ll just freeze our ballz off while making snow angels up here ! 😝

You have to make those work trips to keep that incredible bar stocked I guess. I believe I’ve said it before but it is worth mentioning again, that looks like an amazing place to have a beverage. Tip of the cap to you sir.

Really liking it! I’m new to whisky still (used to be into bourbon) so I’m trying different stuff. Can’t really elaborate on “tasting notes” yet but it seems like it’s pretty darn good.

Thank you for the impressions ! Honestly, I enjoy drinking enough that it usually takes me a bit to truly decide if “the new spirit” will end up becoming a “favorite”.

IMO, the DEK3 is an equally acquired taste. It’s not for everyone, but I love mine, as well. Congrats on both the fine knife and the fine Scotch. 🙏🏼
 
Not a CPK but I’ve really fallen back in love with the Yojumbo. It’s a functional beast!

On another note, I wasn’t a huge fan of the E.H. Taylor at first but it has grown on me as I’ve gotten through the bottle. Definitely recommend if found around retail!

Well, day 6 of battling the flu. Probably no surprise, I had decided to battle it w/o any alcohol intake, stayed very hydrated, ate well, rested, etc. Contrary to the guidance that any serious medical professional would give, I’ve decided to partake a bit tonight. Bad plan, you say ? I get it.

Still, THIS, a new book, and a long night’s rest are going to happen. Pray for me boys….🤣

Is no one noticing my Seattle Seahawks bottle of Maker’s Mark bourbon ? For goodness sake, I don’t want sympathy…just drankin’ buddies !

OK. Apologies. It doesn’t take much bourbon to get all “half 🐓’d when you’re sick, right ? In sincerity, the spirits, new book, and rest are a very good thing. Also, the satin CPK SDFK from our man D dericdesmond and beautiful thick “black as night” sheath from the masterful duramax duramax were intended to be the focus.

I’m faded, to all a good night ! 😘

At first I just saw the blue wax and said wtf? ... so I looked closer and saw why ... lol.
