CPK EDC2

Hey 24 hours or so and counting!! ... (as long as USPS holds up it's end) ... then I can post back instead of having to open the thread every now and then for my fix ...

Then this week I need to take a day to take out the EDC2 and another knife I got from 91bravo recently ... and beat the snot out of them for a few hours!

Jo, I was not aware that some sneaky rascals had added more EDCs above and over their stated preorder claimed units, but major props and kudos to YOU for honoring the extra wishes of this CPK parched crowd! With the 60 or so EDC2s set aside for the Fridays sales (including the next one IIRC) plus fulfilling all the preorders up to and including the second page (didn't count how many units) that's an incredible amount of knives in about 4 months for a small outfit such as CPK just for one project, considering all the other projects going on.

I know that this is little comfort to those impatient and super excited types stuck on page 4 or 5 of the preorder list, but perhaps some of these folks have not experienced waiting 2-3 years for other makers' pattern which has yet to come to fulfillment. I think that the frustration would be much more through the roof if Nathan had not so graciously accepted to run preorders because no preorders would mean even higher secondary market prices. While getting some larger upfront payment can be great as a part of a bigger picture, i.e, expansion and equipment / material / labor procurements, I remember you guys from just a couple of years ago when you were quite content on just making a bucketful of knives every fortnight or so, then selling them on given Fridays and be done with less headaches. I just felt that this was a very good time to reemphasize these points and also to point out that barring some catastrophic act of Nature, folks who are still waiting will absolutely get what they have paid for. I can not say this with any such certainty about some other outfits out there and that's why I take pleasure in giving you my money :D :p
 
Lol, my apologies for the super extended derailment post.

In my defense, I came to the thread looking for EDC2 photos and new user reviews/accounts from folks who'd received theirs and had a chance to play with and use them, and saw a page of flu related posts.

Having managed to snag both an EDC2 and a FK on the secondary market, for my personal preferences, I prefer the size of the FK. The EDC2 will probably be relisted at some point. Can't wait to see what the FK2 will be like (and would LOVE to get my hands on a UF).
 
Ok off to bed to have dreams of sugar plum fairies grinding and finishing EDC2s ... and the Postal Carrier pulling up in his Sliegh to deliver mine tomorrow.

Next the search (or the wait for a possible preorder) for a FK or FK2.0 and a HDFK perhaps ...

and no mom I won't put my eye out.

USPS come on if the Pony Express made it ... this little snow storm shouldn't hold you back! ... Hope everyone else schedualed to get theirs has a wonderful tomorrow too !!!
