From the blade profile and stock thickness to shape of the handle, the edc2 is just that..a great edc. It should excel at anything I need a knife to do. I tend to gravitate towards larger knives and worried about the size of the edc2 but it really doesn’t feel small in hand, just perfect. Big thanks to the Carother’s team!!

Tommy, I'd love to see a picture like this every so often over there next few months, or even years. There two being such different shades, it would be cool to see their progression as the colors age.

In my defense, I came to the thread looking for EDC2 photos and new user reviews/accounts from folks who'd received theirs and had a chance to play with and use them, and saw a page of flu related posts.

Having managed to snag both an EDC2 and a FK on the secondary market, for my personal preferences, I prefer the size of the FK. The EDC2 will probably be relisted at some point. Can't wait to see what the FK2 will be like (and would LOVE to get my hands on a UF).

NICE! Wonder if the lighter one will oxidize and "darken?"

Thanks Petey, my guess would be in a year, they will look almost identical! As far as the chairs only 927 pictures to date! They came directly from Lowe's Mideast outlet in Kabul:rolleyes:

All you guys are killing me with the EDC2's with the Antique Micarta. Man they are sweet and making me want my first CPK. I'm just afraid that will lead me down the slippery slope of having to have another and another:eek:. Especially if the CPK's feel as good in the hand as everybody says they do. Loving the pics:thumbsup:

I wonder if it's possible to use something like polyurethane deck sealant as a protectant/preservative?

It was a recommendation for the traditional Chinese wrapped wood handles on the pair of Chinese Liuyedao I have. It does change the feel though.

I'd say no. Embrace the aging. I think it would damn near impossible to perfectly seal it. It's a super awesome material and watching the transition is part of the fun.
 
So how quickly have these been selling in the Friday sales?
I want to take a shot at picking one up but I’m no Quick Draw McGraw when it comes down to it.

Less than 1 minute. Much less. On the last Friday sale I thought that I got in at about 7 to 10 seconds. It looked like I was #22. In reality, I think I was #28.
