I hope you unwrapped it then lifted it over your head and at the the same time yelled "yea bitches" to everyone at your bike shop hahaha

I love doing things different than my norm, I never thought a bike frame would be as interesting as it was to paint, it was a challenge and I loved it!!!!!

Thank you Lorien Lorien !!!!

haha, there's only one bitch at the shop and that's my boss- I yell at him all the time.

the painting of bike frames is a time honored craft, obviously predating autos. Even still, pro bike painters are rare and amazing. You did a phenomenal job on this frame, it's definitely and obviously better than almost any paint job I've seen on a bike. You could probably side hustle a nice little business in the bike scene, lots of riders in your general region...word travels fast especially with the inter tubes...

grey skull...a joke was made at the shop today regarding skulls. I won't repeat it because it was really offensive, but it had something to do with the idea that an absence of fear opens up many new opportunities for those who appreciate glory holes, whatever those are.

Long overdue…..

Not a CPK but EMCEE made this sheath for me as a thank you for being a proxy! What a great guy and a quality sheath! On my hip every camping trip.

Also, I’ve been meaning to ask you if things have gotten better down South w/ traffic slowing…such as it has. Best regards and thank you for what you do down there. 🙏🏼

I to appreciate the kind words, thank you. For the Tijuana / San Ysidro border crossings overall have gone down but are up for US Citizens. As a whole morale is up as well. Most of us appreciate the new administration and the direction we as a country are headed. So yes, better.

Y’all deserve good things. I’ll leave it at that.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Richard Richard338 Richard338 for fixing the finish on my DEK3. It originally had the stone wash finish, but I rubbed some of the finish off trying to remove some dark spots. Then I removed all the stone wash finish with a polish cloth. I didn’t like the tooling marks, so I tried to do a ghetto grind with sandpaper and totally f#@ked it up. I reached out to Richard for tips on doing a hand rubbed satin finish, and he volunteered to do it for me. Needless to say, I was ecstatic! I’m extremely happy with the results. I think it looks like one of Nathan’s horizontal satin finishes. CPK folk are the best folk!
PS: Sorry for the lousy photos, they don’t do it justice.

It's great to see a couple of the CPK old-timers team up for a special project. Richard338 Richard338 did a solid job bringing that DEK3 back to life in a spectacular way. Congrats Gus on the upgrade to a special CPK by your very talented knife maker friend.

I posted a little while ago about my watch which gave up the ghost, ( a gift from my friend Fonedork Fonedork ) and although I love that watch and will get it repaired, Big DJ Big DJ went and sent me this watch;

It's such a beauty! I think I'll make myself a macho leather strap for it.

I cannot express enough my gratitude to both these guys! Real, stand up folk up in here! Thank you so much, Derrel- my grampa's watch thanks you for saving it from the doom which was certain, as my wrist is unkind to time pieces!
