CPK Pet Thread

He followed my wife's car from the main road. Scared the crap out of her when she opened her door lol

I called my buddy over (a dog trainer) and told him I've got this old stray dog and I don't quite know what I should do next.
After my buddy checked his paws, teeth, he was like "Dude... I think it's a puppy. He's just got a lot of loose skin" 😂

We let him stay the night and handed him over to Animal Control the next day. The wife and I kept talking about him... The guy was was a sweetheart. He didn't make one peep the entire night.
We decided that if no one comes forward after the county's 5-day stray hold, we'd take him home.
Well... Mac's been with us ever since!

We got Koda shortly after our daughter was born and, unfortunately, shortly after our "best boy" Riley, an Aussie and Blue Heeler, passed away after a 6 month downhill battle to Lymphoma. It took a couple years for our floppy and floopy Koda to earn a place right next to Riley as "best boy." But he certainly has earned it...what a great companion!

But now these two are inseparable, with a few fights here and there. He plays fetch with her in first pic, then waits on the playground patiently for the next time.20231028_105657.jpg20231028_105522.jpg20231022_153123.jpg

We go for walks together down our country roads and end up at the local church park fairly often.

Also, here's the two little ones snuggled together on a road trip.

E, such a beautiful dog. I’ve been out of the loop so please let me know it’s name, age, and sex. I hope y’all are getting along very well. 👍🏼
We're not letting him date yet, Michael, but if you're willing to wait a few years...

"Kobe", Male, 2 years old (estimated)

He likes quiet walks in the forest, candlelit dinners, OMH biscuits, jazz and watching "On Patrol: Live".
