Doesn't work with my dog. If he knows you have one, he won't bring back the other you threw. He just comes back to you and wants the one you have, leaves the other wherever you tossed it.

Yeah, but he doesn't want to let you have it; he wants you to play tug of war (we use frisbees). He's very, very smart, annoyingly so. I've never seen a dog learn so fast. He understands perfectly that you want him to release it, he just doesn't want to do it. That's a bulldog for you! So eager to please, but also very willful.
 
That’s tricky. Haha. The Bullmastiff I had almost 20 years ago was by far the most willful dog I have had.

Hard to believe it's been 4 years since Kooper came into my life. (Pictures on page 53 and 55). He's still my boy

At one point, he made it known that he wanted a baby brother. It took about 1.5 years to make it happen (covid, he changed his mind for a while, then some unfortunate circumstances with the next one); but little brother has been here for 2 years.

Can’t mistake the look of distain and self loathing in that eye. The inner monologue goes something like this……

“I can’t believe this is happening…..AGAIN. I know I am small, not big and powerful, but it’s how I was born, I can’t help that. However, I am the proud descendant of WOLVES, god dammit!! My people used to eat your people. How dare you a-holes put this stupid fucking hat on my head for a picture. If I was born with any physical ability at all, I’d gnaw your balls off right now, but I can’t. So, instead, when you aren’t looking, I’m gonna go around the corner, and lick my ass for about five minutes. Then, Ima come back in here and lick your face, right across the lips. Your dumbass will think it’s the best thing ever, but I’ll know…….believe that.”
